I am guessing it'll primarily be an 8 man lineup of Cadeau, RJ, Tyson, Trimble, Jackson, Washington, Lubin and Withers. Maybe Brown and Powell will get some minutes, too.
I'd be shocked if Powell isn't in the primary rotation, and I think there's a good chance he starts. After Johnathan Givony watched us practice his projected starting lineup was Davis/Cadeau/Powell/Tyson/Washington. I think we're likely to need either him or Trimble on the floor pretty much the entire game or we're going to have some real defensive issues (we probably will have those issues no matter what).

So a 9 man lineup of Cadeau, RJ, Tyson, Trimble, Jackson, Washington, Lubin, Withers and Powell.
yeah, this.

drake powell is going to play. a lot.

ty claude will probably get some spot minutes as well, apparently he's the most physical guy on the team and has some athleticism. enforcer vibes.

If you are in CH this weekend:

“…
Tickets for the event will be available for purchase ahead of time on the GoHeels Ticket Site starting tomorrow morning at 10 AM. They are General Admission tickets, for $10 each, where all proceeds to the sales will be directed to hurricane relief efforts. Students are still admitted for free, and the school will keep track of how many show up with a One Card and cover that as part of the Helene Relief as well. Thus, there’s a chance that there will be a significant donation made to the ongoing relief efforts as a result of this scrimmage.

If you are looking to help out our western North Carolina neighbors, there are multiple ways including one set up directly by the state of North Carolina at www.nc.gov/donate. You can also find multiple organizations doing important work in this devastated area of the state. The scenes out there certainly put basketball into a broader context, and hopefully this event will be able to contribute in some way to their recovery. ..”

It was nice watching him turn his career around and become one of the "good guys" in the NBA.

And best, he remained a stalwart member of the Tar Heel family.
He earned himself a fortune too. 8 figure salaries for the last 8 years. I haven't done the math, but he may have out-earned the rest of the 2009 team combined in pro ball. If he didn't, he came close. Who would have imagined that 15 years ago?

I definitely don't think anyone would have called him being the most successful pro on that team. He did out-earn everyone else on the team individually, but not the rest of the team combined - several guys had long, productive NBA careers. Career earnings, according to bball reference:

  • Danny - $104 m
  • Wayne - $48 m
  • Ed Davis - $47 m
  • Lawson - $43 mil
  • Zeller - $17 m
  • Hansbrough - $16 m
  • [TRIGGER WARNING] Larry Drew - $3 m

Dang, I completely forgot about Ed Davis, and I do mean completely. It took me a full minute to remember him.

He was the first Heel I forgot about once in the Pros. A few more recently.
