Withers was on RJ’s team. The play had nothing to do with Withers. But now you’ve got people piling onto Withers on this thread, who is the last guy who needs that kind of thing.

James Brown committed the foul, and there was nothing dirty or hard about it. Just some body contact while RJ was in the air in a vulnerable position, but Brown knocked the ball away and it was a regular basketball play. Anyone who has ever played real basketball knows that happens all the time.
IC's initial reporting was that Withers, not Brown, had been the one who fouled RJ that led to the (hopefully minor) injury.

After seeing the video, it's nothing egregious, but it still sucks.

But nyc wasn't the one who made the mistake about who fouled RJ leading to the injury.

Yeah, i did not notice the blurry video was not Brown, but was going on initial reports and a don’t touch the star vibe generally for a scrimmage.

But that fall looked more concerning than I was prepared for not because of the contact but how awkwardly RJ landed.

it was only an intra-squad scrimmage but trimble looked really, really good.

we have an embarrassment of riches at the guard spots this season.

the RJ play was unfortunate but not dirty or hard, just an awkward fall.

per IC its a contusion. he should be fine but hopefully HD sits him for the memphis exhibition. we don't need to take any risks with his health.

Withers is going to turn 25 before the end of the season?

Dang, I was 21 when I graduated college. I was married and halfway through grad school when I turned 25.

And Ty Claude will turn 25 in July. R.J. Davis will turn 23 next Tuesday.

Single-game tickets are now for sale. We always try to go to the holiday break non-conference game. But I'm sorry -- I'm not dropping $45 dollars a person to sit UL and watch CAMPBELL. Seriously?! I'm going to watch SeatGeek, but I know we're probably out of luck. Those holiday break games tend to sell out. Oh well.

That was the one I was looking at going to, also. But $180 for four tickets against Cambell is a bit steep for the nosebleeds.

I know, but I can't believe the athletic department didn't see this coming and was more proactive about leaving the ACC after the first round of expansion.
I mean, no matter what anyone says now no one saw this coming in 2013 when the GOR was signed (or even 2016 when it was amended). FSU and Clemson are in the same boat as us, and didn't see it coming any better.

Yeah, only Maryland had the foresight, and in all honesty, the last 15 years has been a trainwreck for Maryland athletically, so other than protecting its future, Maryland hasn't exactly made out like bandits.

I’m not certain Maryland saw it coming. I think they took a money grab and kind of fell into it, but like you said they haven’t really made out competitively.
