IC's initial reporting was that Withers, not Brown, had been the one who fouled RJ that led to the (hopefully minor) injury.Withers was on RJ’s team. The play had nothing to do with Withers. But now you’ve got people piling onto Withers on this thread, who is the last guy who needs that kind of thing.
James Brown committed the foul, and there was nothing dirty or hard about it. Just some body contact while RJ was in the air in a vulnerable position, but Brown knocked the ball away and it was a regular basketball play. Anyone who has ever played real basketball knows that happens all the time.
After seeing the video, it's nothing egregious, but it still sucks.
But nyc wasn't the one who made the mistake about who fouled RJ leading to the injury.
