Yeah. A friend's brother was an armorer for a police department and had all the proper licenses. One day we took my 10 year old and his buddy, the son of a another mutual friend, out with my friend and his brother and fired a bunch of automatic and/or silenced stuff. It was a lot of fun, I have to admit.

Back when Congress still functioned as a branch of government with meaningful oversight functions, Fiona Hill gave Congressional testimony back in 2019 primarily about Trump/Giuliani pressure on Ukraine to investigate Burisma.

As an aside, the guy somewhat seriously questioning Hill in this extract is Lee Zeldin (now head of the EPA in Trump 2.0).

The US didn’t bomb their country (highly orchestrated surgical strike) and we’re not going to take their oil. The goal is for Venezuela to be a prosperous ally with the infusion of freedom and capitalism.

The POTUS clearly stated "we will be selling oil"-like it was now our oil . Said we might sell it to China or Iran

Per the NYT (link provided earlier in this thread), dozens of deaths of Venezuelan civilians and military have been reported in Venezuela as a result of the U.S. strikes in this operation.



Aside from Trump saying repeatedly yesterday that he was focused on having US companies take over oil production, making billions and funding repayment to the USA of what he considers stolen U.S. property (oil rights) in Venezuela, here is a clip from his campaign where he talked about taking over Venezuela to get the oil there (consistent with how he has claimed that we should have taken the oil from Iraq as payment for our military invasion there):
