I think that’s fair. I hope young, anxious progressives might learn some things from his approach. Presentation is really important.

Yes yes yes. This is what I try to tell all my friends in progressive circles. Be normal. You can be a socialist, but center your politics in talking to normal people. Talk about the policies that will help working folks, because socialists do have a lot of solutions in that area.

Don’t back off of your values, but you can be normal in your outreach. Treat people with kindness and respect and present them the policy solutions to their day to day issues.
