Fauci was a total eff up. I recognize trump's initial messaging on the virus was fractured. Hope fauci winds up being investigated.

'I like the numbers being where they are': Trump remarks on Grand Princess passengers – video

Operation Warp Speed II. Of course you guys will never give trump credit for expediting the covid vaccine.

We already have approved vaccines for H5N1, they’re sitting in the national stockpile ready to go. Several million more doses either have been manufactured or will be shortly and will be delivered early 2025. I work for a company with one of those approved vaccines and my team has been working with the FDA to approved an updated vaccine that matches the current strain more closely since the summer.

For what.
  • Dr. Fauci showed no remorse for the millions of lives affected by his divisive rhetoric and his unscientific policies. He did not apologize to the thousands of Americans who lost their jobs because they refused the novel vaccine, nor did he apologize to children experiencing severe leaning loss as a result of actions he promoted.
  • Dr. Fauci confirmed that his Senior Advisor — Dr. David Morens — violated official NIH policies and potentially broke federal law. Evidence obtained by the Select Subcommittee suggests that Dr. Morens deliberately obstructed the Select Subcommittee’s investigation into the origins of COVID-19, unlawfully deleted federal COVID-19 records, and shared nonpublic information about National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant processes with his “best-friend” EcoHealth Alliance, Inc. (EcoHealth) President Dr. Peter Daszak.
  • Dr. Fauci maintained his misleading claim that the NIH never funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China. In 2021, he told Sen. Rand Paul that “the NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.” During yesterday’s hearing, Dr. Fauci doubled down on his previous claim by stating “the NIH did not fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.” Notably, former Acting NIH Director Dr. Lawrence Tabak told the Select Subcommittee recently that the NIH did, in fact, fund gain-of-function research in Wuhan.
  • Dr. Fauci agreed with the Select Subcommittee that EcoHealth and its president, Dr. Peter Daszak, should never again receive a single cent from the U.S. taxpayer. Two weeks after the Select Subcommittee released evidence of EcoHealth’s contempt for the American people, its flagrant disregard for the risks associated with gain-of-function research, and its willful violation of the terms of its NIH grant, the Department of Health and Human Services commenced formal debarment proceedings against the organization and its president.
  • Dr. Fauci corrected his previous testimony that his staff did not possess conflicts of interest. During his transcribed interview he claimed, “the only people that I am involved with is my own staff, who we’ve mentioned many times in this discussion, who don’t have a conflict of interest.” During yesterday’s hearing, he changed his tune testifying that Dr. Morens “definitely had a conflict of interest.”
  • Dr. Fauci publicly acknowledged that the lab leak hypothesis was possible and not a conspiracy theory. Yesterday, he told Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) that he falsely claimed that he has kept an “open mind” about the origins of the pandemic. This comes nearly four years after prompting the publication of the now infamous “Proximal Origin” paper that attempted to vilify and disprove the lab leak hypothesis.

Sounds like you have all the facts you need. What do you see as prosecutable? What are his crimes?

the lab leak hypothesis has been effectively disproven. its basically the epidemiology version of ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, etc. using that against Fauci is comical.

if david morens violated federal law, then go after him. not fauci. of course, they aren't going after morens because they know they are full of shit.

people who refuse the vaccine deserve way worse than losing their jobs. in a just world, people who refuse a vaccine would be denied health care for the underlying condition. if you don't listen to doctors when you are healthy, you lose the right to draw upon them when you aren't. grasshopper and the ant and all that.

meanwhile, this "no science" claim is a good litmus test for peoples' understanding of science. if you think that "no science" meant he just made it up, then you're an idiot. it meant that there were no scientific studies directly addressing the relationship between social distancing and covid. and maybe even our lesser light posters here can figure out maybe why there were no studies directly addressing that relationship.

Fractured?

Initial?

You seriously need to stop slurping Trump’s balls. His messaging most definitely killed people and it wasn't done out of not knowing better. He knew what he and we were dealing with and he knew that we needed that vaccine and needed distancing until it was available.

His own willingness to politicize the virus itself and embrace craziness about it led directly to his own ardent supporters refusing the vaccine you insist he be credited with.

You wanna see “unscientific policies?” Just get ready for RFK Jr., son. And remember, you voted for it.

Virologists warn about disease they say could become the next pandemic

A new report from PBS highlights the potential danger of bird flu turning into a full-blown pandemic in the United States.

In particular, PBS spoke with several experts who said the United States has been behind the ball when it comes to keeping a handle on the pandemic and they point to the fact that the United States Department of Agriculture has only recently started testing milk nationwide for bird flu contamination.

"It's disheartening to see so many of the same failures that emerged during the COVID-19 crisis reemerge," explained Tom Bollyky, the director of the Council on Foreign Relations' Global Health Program.
It's ok, Trump will handle everything.

We've learned that we really don't need to do anything that might disrupt our normal lives.

😡🤢🤮

I have been thinking a lot about it. Bird flu has mutated from a bird disease to one that is spread between cattle and other species. Studies have shown that one single mutation would be enough to allow human to human spread.

This is likely coming.

To make things worse, bird flu has traditionally had a case fatality rate of 50%. I don’t think the variants that have spread to humans from farm animals has been quite as severe but it is no joke.

I have moved a lot of 401k to cash because of the risk of bird flu, wars, and tariffs. Might miss some gains but the risk outweighs the rewards IMO.
I recently read an article about this. I was floored at the 50% number.

You know they did expedite the process, that should have been a win for him. Had he only shut up and not suggested drinking bleach or any of the other quack ideas he mentioned, he would probably get more recognition.
