There would have been no doubt if he'd fired a buckshot round. The sound of a shotgun is not going to be mistaken for a pistol. I also doubt the 9+ pellets in the round would all be lost or able to penetrate a vest. My guess is a pistol if he fired at all.

Have they said whether or not the victim was shot with the same caliber handgun?

Also notable that Officer VG appears to have fired five times, presumably at fairly close range, and did not hit the attacker. I’m glad in hindsight, and I’m sure it’s hard to shoot straight when you’ve just been hit in the chest by a colleague’s bullet, but that’s a lot of bullets flying God knows where in a crowded hotel lobby.

This is the kind of thing, where maga says, don't take him seriously with stuff he posts on social media, but also he means what he's saying and he's TOUGH grrr. They get to determine the sincerity of it after the reaction of media + liberals.

They see this post as being tough on Iran, where as I see it as stupid and silly. And after its determined to be stupid and silly they say he's just joking.
