2 Days out predictions for Electoral College

Which thread can I bitch about undecided voters?

I listened to a podcast that interviewed 5 undecided voters. I'm struggling with how they are undecided based on how they described their concerns.

What does voting boil down to?

There are only two actual choices in this election, so that's binary.

One would hope that no one votes for a party, but we know they do, so those people are out of the discussion.

That leaves the issues and what is most important to the voter. And issues can be more than voting promises or the economy. One person mentioned how wold other world leaders respond to Kamala.

For these issue's it would seem that most know their position and the positions of the candidates, so how hard is it to make a decision?

And for issues like: how will Kamala be accepted on the world stage and by leaders of other countries. If one really doesn't have an opinion, then look at what we know. Other leaders didn't respect trump, they laughed at him. Therefore, could Kamala do worse? No. So, kamala has a better chance of a positive outcome to this question, since we already know trump failed this issue. So one should be able to mark that issue for Kamala and move onto the next issue.

Grow a set and make a decision, I can't understand anyone being undecided at this point.

Well the data has been showing those late breakers are breaking for her
That's good news.

But other than procrastination, I don't understand undecided voters at this point. And, I really didn't understand those they interviewed. Based on their own statements, they should be leaning Kamala.

I'm not sure this is accurate. Some data has shown that, but I'm not sure how much and anyway that can reverse.

I do wonder if the hate orgy is going to make an impact, though. It strikes me as the sort of thing that could. Even if you've tuned out Trump, and come to peace with his racism, this was a different level of bad. And hopefully all people of color will realize that the GOP hates them no matter who they are. After all, all Puerto Ricans are US citizens; none of them crossed any border; and look at the hate.

In a fractious political environment often dominated by the loudest voices on the left and right, some people are saying: Count us out.

Last year, we talked to a group of people who, while they may vote, are not strongly attached to either political party. They don’t closely follow news about politics or government, though some feel guilty when they don’t. By and large, they look at the nation’s politics as a topic better avoided than embraced.

What these people don't seem to realize is that while not participating in the political process and staying "neutral" was a perfectly safe option in the past, if Trumpism prevails and takes over the government then claiming that you're "not involved" or "not political" won't help you at all. You could just as easily lose all your rights as anyone who is "involved" in the political process. When the fascists took over in Italy and Spain and Germany it wasn't just their public enemies who suffered, in the end everyone in those countries lost their freedoms, whether they said or thought they were "involved" or not.

I hear you, but that's about 100 more words that this group is even willing to contemplate, especially when another season of The Bachelor is about to start.

We are just going to have to wait and see how this Puerto Rico stuff affects the election. 🇵🇷
I honestly thought it was going to be decisive in Florida in 2018. I figured, "all the displaced Puerto Ricans know that Trump did that to them, right?" It didn't work. On the other hand, Nelson lost by a tiny sliver. Maybe Florida had already become red and the PR vote in that election did something. Or maybe not.

But even if it's not decisive in Florida, if it helps in PA or MI it is good.

Honestly, I can't understand why the media is focusing on this as if it's a PR specific thing. Yes, Hispanics are not a monolithic voting bloc and there are rivalries between different areas. But they aren't just talking about PR. If this is what they say about PR, imagine what they are saying about the shithole countries.

Every person of color should see that rally to fully comprehend who the enemy is.

Agreed, but if Trump does win I have a hunch that a good many of these folks are going to be saying "You know, maybe I really should've voted a couple of years ago."

To preface, I do NOT think Florida is in play. But this PR debacle is on top of the Haitian debacle. There are almost certainly enough Cubans, Venezuelans, Russians, and retirees to offset those groups, but if the GOP keeps fucking with massive parts of the Florida milieu, they're going to get burned eventually.

President. Senate is maybe 10% in play, but the state is not in play for president. I do think Allred is more like 25%.
It should be shocking that the governor-turned-Senator who defrauded Medicaid out of billions of dollars is the second most corrupt person on the GOP ticket there. And yet it's not.

Imagine if the Dems ran a ticket of Eric Adams and Bob Menendez. They would get pilloried from coast to coast, even though the crimes of both men are substantially less impactful than Trump/Scott corruption.

You're assuming that Latinos see themselves as people of color and a hell of a lot of them don't.

AZ Trump
GA Trump
NC Trump
PA Harris
MI Harris
NV Don't think it matters
WI Tipping point state. Harris by less then 7,000 votes for EC win!!!!!

Not sure there's been much focus on WI by posters. I suspect there needs to be.
