“Former President Bill Clinton encouraged voters in Michigan to throw their support behind Vice President Kamala Harris even if they believe the economy was better under former President Donald Trump.

"I want to make three brief points," Clinton told voters at a rally for Harris in Muskegon Heights, Michigan on Wednesday. "You did pretty well when I was president, and I think I’m entitled to my opinion about who’d be better. Two, I don’t think it’s right to say that people have to vote for Donald Trump because the economy was better… I don’t believe that." …”

OR:

Clinton also chided Trump for promoting himself as the better candidate for the economy. He ribbed Trump for taking credit an economy built by his predecessor former President Barack Obama and for blaming current President Joe Biden for inflation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic supply chain issues.

“He’s the best credit-claimer I’ve ever seen,” Clinton said of Trump. “‘The sun rose this morning, I did that. But it rained yesterday. If I had been president it never would have rained.’ You’ve got to give it to the guy, he’s really good at this.”

I just recall so many celeb endorsements and gatherings for Hillary in 2016, that I just don't want a repeat of that. It feels awfully similar, so someone walk me back on that thinking.

If someone walks into a voting booth and makes stool therein, will that be interpreted as a vote for Trump?

Making stool in a voting booth probably wouldn't be counted as a vote at all; it would more likely be handled as a public disturbance. While it might leave an unintended "statement," actual votes require filling out and submitting a ballot in accordance with voting procedures.
In other words, if you take a Trump in the voting booth, is it considered a vote for Trump? Hmm.

Definitely. For whatever reason, the one where they had all of the Avengers finishing with Robert Downey Jr. gives me PTSD towards the celeb endorsements.

HRC's celeb endorsements were not why she lost the election. Totally unrelated. She lost because, as Nate Silver said the day after the election, nobody foresaw that white working class people were going to vote like a minority group. The state polls were all off. She didn't know where she was trailing.

Also, Trump was seen as the moderate in that race, not the extremist.

The elections are not alike

Oh I know, maybe its because with Biden's being in the middle of the pandemic, there were no rallies and no big celebrations, and I just have this gnawing feeling that she is running such a great campaign but its all going to be for nothing,.

And EVERYONE was over confident so many didn't vote

And Trump was the outsider

He apologized to me once.
Why are you even here, dookie? You don't like me? You know what to do. You know how often people apologize to each other on message boards, even when they are complete fucking assholes? I'm ahead of that curve.

You know, fuck all y'all. All I said was that Latino people in New York refer to themselves as Latino, which actually is not controversial. I don't know who that other poster is hanging out with, but not a single person I ever met in NYC referred to themselves as Hispanic. I had an office mate who was Puerto Rican; she referred to herself as Latina. The door staff to my apartment building were Dominican and they called themselves Latino. I had already tried to defuse the disagreement by saying that I haven't been there for a while and maybe it's changed but no, he kept it up. He even referred to the Young Lords, which is kind of odd given that the Young Lords referred to themselves as Latino (as did their gang rivals, the Latin Kings).

Here's another link talking to actual Latino/Hispanic New Yorkers about that word choice. Notice that every single one of them referred to themselves as Latino or Latina (though many preferred more specific terms). They also said that growing up, they would either hear Latino or Latino and Hispanic interchangeably.

But somehow y'all are piling on me. So fuck it. I don't need this shit, and I'm not going to apologize to you again dookie. Did they ever clean up the graffiti in the Duke libraries? I've been in a lot of university libraries and only Perkins was covered with graffiti. Nasty, misogynist and racist graffiti, all over the cubicles and the stacks and fucking everywhere. And yeah, that was around 92, so GFY.

Young voters are shocked to learn of Access Hollywood tape

Trump’s ‘grab them’ comment was history. Now TikTok is showing it to young voters.

As the audio clip circulates on the popular video app, Gen Z users are expressing their shock.

My son was 11 then, so no, we didn’t show him that video at the time. Never occurred to me he might never have seen it.

potential incoming president repeatff do ly refers to all Dems as “enemies of the state” and threatens to use military force against American citizens.

Interesting. I hadn’t thought of that.

Chill brother! I think sometimes you don’t realize how you might be coming across. I have the same problem sometimes 😬

Agree to disagree. Everyone appreciates (most of) your contributions. Órale vato.
