Well that’s 100% Trump’s fault. He’s gone from MAGA entertainer to a human depression ray coating everyone around him in his grievance, resentment and hatred. His rallies at this point should just play the Death March and Liebestraum on a loop.

For context, the seating capacity of Dorton Arena is about 7,500. The population of the Raleigh-Cary metro area is 1,509,231.

I actually always assumed that Blue Devil fans didn’t experience the pure anxiety/adrenaline double rush in anticipation of that Final Four game because they were so certain this was divine intervention to set them up to avenge the home loss in Durham on the way to K going out with a national title, but could be wrong about that.

LOLOL State fans spend enough time watching their basketball team get its ass kicked at home by a team wearing blue. If they had to also watch their godking get *his* ass kicked by a team wearing blue in that same building, they'd already be climbing the walls of the U.S. Capitol...again.

Do I realize I have TREMENDOUS privilege in this country as a white man? Yes

Do I have the ability to change the minds of so many of my cousins, aunts, uncles, old friends, classmates, coworkers etc who have chosen MAGA brain rot? No. I have tried. To the point they either cut me out or I had to cut them out. What the hell else am I supposed to do?

Being an ally isn’t as hard as being an actual oppressed group. I don’t think anyone would ever claim that. But being blamed for the problem when you’re actually a member of the pro democracy coalition is a little much.
