This was likely inevitable: Phil Berger is claiming that his campaign has found voters in Guilford County (where he got most of his votes in the primary) who were somehow given the wrong ballot. He says that he has sworn affidavits from these voters, and that Sam Page's campaign has been trying to "intimidate" them from signing the affidavits. It just so happens that the deadline for filing for a recount is tomorrow at noon, so this is likely Team Berger's attempt to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the primary election before asking for a recount and then challenging the results in court. It still wouldn't be a surprise if Berger finds some way to steal this election and remain the GOP candidate in that district. The guy is as slimy and ruthless as they come. But according to MAGA only Democrats steal elections!

It's going to be fascinating to see how the pubs handle this. will Berger play the hand he had instore for the democrats in case of a November photo finish? Precedent set for the Fall. If the shenanigans get too caustic, if Berger steals it, will Page voters help a democrat?

Too close.
But not real. First, it's not likely voters; it's registered voters. Likely voter screen will make at least two points of difference, if not more. It's also 556 respondents. 37% were reached on landline -- I don't know if that's representative or not, but it seems high. Critically, they seemed not to call mobile phones. Landline or text were the options. That seems like crappy methodology. It also seems as though it would skew results more rural.

They also have Cooper's favorability rating at 47-40%, 13% undecided. That's lower than his rating when he was in office. I suppose he could have dropped but it seems unlikely.

That said, nitpicking individual polls is a good way to waste heat generating little light

It's never going to happen, just like I'm never going to win the lottery. But wouldn't it be sweet if Page voters decided in November to vote for the Democratic candidate just to spite Berger for the shenanigans he is pulling to win. It would just be for two years. Maybe the Democratic candidate in District 26 campaign slogan could be, "It's just for two years. Punish Phil Berger for stealing an election."

“… Mr. Trump could still offer an endorsement at any time, but his decision not to before the deadline for candidates to formally drop out of the race means both Mr. Cornyn and Mr. Paxton will be on the next ballot even if one of them withdraws at a later date. It also means both will continue to duke it out in what has already been a highly personal, historically expensive Senate race.…”

Just trying to imagine Cornyn breaking everything in his house, furious that he got Trump 98% of the way to endorsing him before Trump either got distracted and/or mad that the "librul media" scooped his pending Cornyn endorsement. All that groveling Cornyn did, for nothing.
