Fetterman definitely needs to go - he's become the Sinema of this session of Congress. I suspect some of it at least is due to his stroke, but there's no real defense for his behavior. It wouldn't surprise me if he became a Republican before his reelection bid, but if he doesn't then Shapiro or some other prominent PA Democrat definitely needs to primary him, and I think they'd win.

Someone made the point recently that every Party is going to have its share of out liars and the more the better. The example used was Joe Manchin. And the point was that it takes some out liars to get power. The alternative is not having power and we see where that leads.

This cycle, Democrats are licking their chops at getting the House because it will be a Change Election. The House is a gerrymandered freak show, so not sure if they should really pat themselves on the back for that.

But the real question they should be asking is how the Party can broaden its appeal to actually compete for Senate seats, the White House, State Houses and Governors. The fact is that Democrats now have a long record of under performance. Perform better, and folks like Fetterman won't matter.

I agree to a point, but that still doesn't mean that Fetterman shouldn't be challenged and beaten in the Democratic primary when he runs for reelection. Given his lack of support from PA Democrats it's unlikely that he could win reelection anyway. The Democrats do need to broaden their appeal, but I'm not sure that Fetterman is best case example of how Democrats can do so, given that much of his change (especially his temperament and personality) appears to be connected to his severe stroke and is not really consistent with his behavior and policies before his stroke.
