BO SIDES!!!
Both sides have issues.

One difference is the Dems know that, the Republicans are celebrating a broken system being manipulated by an idiot all while denying they are in a cult.

I don't give a fuck about protecting a party, if the Dems were in power and doing as trump is, I would want them removed as I do trump and his project 2025 team.

Straight up trolling
But it's probably not. This is 100% how politics works today. You take the views of extreme fringe figures and paint the entire group with that brush.

So, between Bernie, Mamdani and Tlaib, the Right can paint the entire D party as Jew-hating socialist, communists who support Muslim terrorism.

As has been pointed out any number of times, the critical difference is that the extremists in the Democratic Party are truly on the fringes, while the extremists on the Republican side are literally in control of the party (and the country).

By the way - do you see how many times ramrouser has tried to change the subject to avoid acknowledging how stupid his post was when he said American Eagle sold $300 million of jeans in one day? Can you imagine being a lawyer (allegedly) and not knowing the difference between $300 million in sales and a $300 million increase in stock price?

And that is the whole point that I was making in that post to which the aroused ram was initially responding and was inadvertently reinforcing my point. It's stupid, because as I said, from an ideological perspective, the majority of rank-and-file liberals have more in common with the majority of rank-and-file conservatives, than the extreme left has with liberals or the extreme right has with conservatives. Most Americans reside between what I call the "political 40-yard-lines." The problem is that things like the primary system, as well as social media and 24/7 cable news, give unprecedented platform to the loudest, craziest, most neurotic extreme voices on either side at the expense of the "normie."

What is an "extreme" political view is pretty subjective. For example, wanting to completely ban abortion, to the average Dem, is extreme. To the Christian, MAGA Right it's just saving innocent lives, which is completely normal, right?

Agree.

Agree. The crazies fringe are generally very focused and enthusiastic!

Like Raiders fans.

Nice try. Pubs are now the child rapist, pro-Hitler, “Putin’s little sluts” party. Congrats on being pro-child molestation.

See how two can very easily play that cute little game?
Bigger problem for Dems. Your assertions center around one man in the Party - who's proven to have a teflon veneer which can easily withstand accusations and cheep shots from the media/libs.

The Dems problem is structural in that the base of the party is moving hard left/Marxist/Hammas. That's where the energy lies.

The fun part begins with the Dem 2028 primary which will be the first primary since 2008 which will be open and largely free from the reigns of the Party Bosses (rank and file won't accept another heavy handed primary). Therefore, the Party Bosses will not be able to keep a hard left candidate from winning the way they did with Bernie. The rank and file are going to get who they want finally. That's going to be someone from the hard left.

No way a straight, Southern, Christian moderate like Beshear gets through a Dem primary in 2027/28.

I mean, yeah, pretty much no one thinks of their own positions as "extreme" but what is an "extreme" political view is largely objective in terms of being measured against the views of the rest of society on a particular issue. For example, "ban abortion completely" is an extreme position on abortion; this poll from October 2024 found that only 8% of people "strongly support" a national abortion ban and 7% of people "somewhat support" it:

The internet has certainly made it easier than ever for objectively "extreme" opinions to spread, and even gain larger followings, since it's now easier to find other people who hold a view that most would, at least publicly, reject as abhorrent.

I bet you $100 that a straight southern male is, in fact, on top of the ticket in 2028.

Oh I don't know. You could measure it by comparing it to the amount of people in the same party who *don't* hold the view.
