Better not offer support for Milk because it will cause CFord to get all exercised and label YOU a “kiddie diddler.”
Ain’t no fun when the rabbit has the gun, is it, champ? Glad to see that one struck a nerve with you. It should.

I'm still amazed at this idea that a successful attorney could possibly believe $300 Million in retail sales of one item by one retailer in one day. I am just totally and completely blown away by that.

That's a person who will believe quite literally anything.

I would like to take a moment congratulate you guys on the relative dearth of Sydney Sweeney photos and videos in this thread. Because if this had been about, say, Glen Powell or Michael B. Jordan, I cannot say I would have been so restrained.

Hell Yeah Good Job GIF by HBO Max
All the Sydney photos have been used by Fox News this week. None left on the internet.

Your points in paragraph 1 are fair and reasonable. I'm not suggesting that the college protestors are representative of "rank and file" Democrats. But I do believe they are the potential future of the Democratic Party and have influence far beyond their numbers.

You're diminishing the importance of the office of the Mayor of NYC. It's a national office in it's scope and influence. Mamdani will be the next Mayor (Adams, Cuomo and Sliwa appear to be staying in) so it's time to start paying attention to him. I don't live in NYC but it's the most important city in the US and I fear for its financial health, and safety, should Mamdani's socialists policies be enacted.

Finally, Sydney Sweeney ad went far beyond just Fox news!
The NYC Mayor’s job certainly took Rudy, David Dinkins, Michael Bloomberg, Bill de Blasio to unknown political heights.

Same...it's just another example of ram hearing something and regurgitating it without a critical thought to its accuracy.

Three of the four did run for President so they were national figures. Just wait until Mamdani gets elected, he's going to be the new face of the Democratic Party - together with AOC and Crockett. Look who's raising the most money on the Dem side.

Marianne Williamson also ran for president. She a national figure too? She did better than de Blasio, IIRC.

Bill de Blasio entered the Democratic race for 2020; he dropped out in 2019. Marianne Williamson’s campaign made it to January 10, 2020.

Michael Bloomberg spent $409 million and won 41 delegates. He dropped out in early March 2020.

Rudy entered the 2008 race on February 5, 2007; he dropped out January 30, 2008. He finished 6th of 7 in Iowa (4%). He finished 4th in New Hampshire (9%). He then racked up a trio of 6th place finishes in Michigan, South Carolina, and Nevada. He put all his chips on Florida and finished 3rd behind McCain and Romney with 15% of the vote. He dropped out the next day. Turns out, the more one sees of Rudy, the less one likes him.

Some frequent candidates for President:
  • Alan Keyes ran for the Republican nomination - 3 times
  • Ralph Nader ran for President 4 times
  • Harold Stassen ran 11 times between 1944 and 1992
  • Lyndon LaRouche ran for the Democratic nomination - 8 times.
Running for President isn’t a huge accomplishment; running and contending is.
