The survey finds about half of U.S. adults approve of the Republican president's approach to immigration but only about 4 in 10 have a positive view of the way he’s handling the economy and trade negotiations.

Negative opinions are also stronger than positive opinions — about 4 in 10 U.S. adults strongly disapprove of Trump’s job performance, while about 2 in 10 strongly approve.

… Voters who said immigration was their most important issue last November overwhelmingly favored more restrictive policies, according to AP VoteCast, a sweeping survey of more than 120,000 voters. The issue was also a higher priority for Americans heading into 2025 than it had been the previous year. …”

To be honest I don't think most Democrats care if Jeffries and Schumer are mad at each other, that's mostly inside-the-beltway drama that people outside of DC usually ignore. I think it's more that the overall response of the Democratic leadership to Trump 2.0 thus far is seen as weak and timid and disorganized and many Democrats are expressing their anger in these polls when asked how they feel about the Democratic Party right now.

Trump also saw a six-point increase in favorability among Democrats and independents, according to the survey.
The Republican's support among black voters skyrocketed 17 points since last week, the poll found.
When it comes to Trumps universal 10 percent tariff on all goods coming in from other countries, more Americans support the policy than oppose it.

I have no idea where you get this garbage but (1) that's not a credible poll, and (2) all but one of the polling days predated the tariff announcement. The last credible poll, which is almost three weeks old now, had Trump's approval at 43% and falling fast. I won't be at all surprised if he's below 40% by the middle of the month.

ETA -- I do give you credit for this, though. At least you keep showing up here. The experts are reporting that Trump and his tariff mission are a horrible mistake.

I see no evidence that Trump is putting America first.

I see Trump destroying the federal government for no reason, trashing the alliances that made America great, kow-towing to a weak enemy state for inexplicable reasons, and crashing the economy.

Not a single one of his policies can plausibly be described as "America first."

He ran on lowering the cost of living for Americans, he's not doing it, actually making it worse, and you're confused as to why he's falling in the polls faster than a spacex rocket? Helpful tip, attacking the nations capital and deporting Americans doesn't give you the moral high ground to lecture ANYONE.
