Glad to win that one, you gotta defend the home court.
Its weird. This apparently won't count in our 1 possession stats, whereas the Wake game technically will because RJ hit a meaningless three with no time left.

But we've played an inordinate number of close games this year -- and the quality of opponent seems to make no difference in the closeness of the game.

It’s truly bizarre (the close game no matter who the opponent is thing).

I didn’t watch the OT and had happy to see the final score, but goodness gracious.

Hope that wasn’t an ACL for Jwash

Cue the over reactions to something we’ve been watching all season

“Look-In: This all feels pretty weird. I reviewed past game biorhythms and was not able to find a worse collective grouping for the Tar Heels than appears for today’s game versus Boston College.”

I agree that a "one-possession game" stat should include all OT games, no matter the final score.

We do tend to play to the level of our opponent. I think it's just part of the nature of this team.

I'm glad the Heels won instead of loss. But struggling to beat an awful BC team at home doesn't say much for the state of the team and program right now.

With respect I disagree.

The nature of a team is composed of its physical makeup. The nature of this team is to be small in guard oriented.

Whether a team is mentally tough or not, whether they play to their standards or down to competition, that is the nurture of a team. That comes from the top.

But, let’s also recognize they’ve pulled out some games that seemed lost. No quit.

I did not anticipate a nature/nurture discussion regarding a CBB team to break out, but here we are. (Which is interesting.)

I've never really thought about it before, so I can't say whether or not I agree. But it's certainly interesting to think about and I'm going to have to.

It’s hard to support that as Roy had some teams that would blow people out and step on throats and others that he more or less called soft.

The makeup of the players is not always going to be overridden by the personality of the coach.

If we'd have played to the level of their 3 point shooting, we wouldn't have had a problem.

Thought Hubert had a good end game strategy, especially the last three he drew up in regulation and that the players executed well.

That was the worst defensive performance by Carolina that I've seen in a long time. The offense was really good. Carolina scored on several set plays, and I caught myself reminded of Coach Smith's late game comebacks with great strategy and use of timeouts. That was a win, but less than satisfying. It was really good to see RJ Davis have a great offensive game. Maybe his best offensive game of the year.

If Carolina's players don't commit to defense, the next two weeks will be miserable.
