I've not watched as much as I normally do. I hope they came back, I hate Creighton.Kansas is down 10 to Creighton at the half. I assure you will see some adjustments from Self in the second half.
Wow, just looking at the scores.2-14 [Neither Stanford nor SMU were part of the challenge as the SEC has only 16 teams]. 11/14 were double digit losses.
Honesty I’m glad Duke beat Auburn. We need them to be good to have a chance to improve our resume by beating them.Wow, just looking at the scores.
The thing is most all of the SEC teams are ranked, most of the ACC teams are not.
Pitt is actually ranked? They got crushed.
Interesting that the highest ranked SEC teams were the two to lose.
Of course, I'd rather go 0-16 than have dook get a quality win.
I was going without looking at the numbers so, close. Really fucking embarrassing regardless2-14 [Neither Stanford nor SMU were part of the challenge as the SEC has only 16 teams]. 11/14 were double digit losses.
I will never consider SMU, Stanford and Cal as part of the ACC. Syracuse, Pitt, BC, Louisville and Notre Dame are bad enough.
I would prefer that.Yeah I don't think it will ever fit. It's just stupid.
Of course the ACC will be gone soon enough anyhow
IMO college football divisions will split off and all other sports will go back to compact, regional leagues as it should be
If only you had a FG kicker.Pulling for Clemson
We should have beaten this overrated SMU team. They are not good
Whoops I responded on the basketball thread. If only you had a FG kicker.
I've been hoping that will happen as well. Just spin off college football into its own separate league, or superconference or whatever they want to call it, and have all other college sports go back to regional conferences of 8 to 12 teams like things used to be. It would make perfect sense. I think if the current move into having just 2 or 3 superconferences for all sports continues they're eventually going to lessen interest in college sports and destroy a lot of traditional rivalries that help create fan interest to begin with. Having Stanford in the ACC or Oregon in the Big 10 or West Virginia in the Big 12 is just absurd and not financially feasible for all sports in the long run, imo. It might be for college football, but not for all men's and women's college sports.Yeah I don't think it will ever fit. It's just stupid.

I trace it back 20 years earlier when Arkansas left the Southwest Conference for the SEC in 1992. That led to the demise of the SWC, and it officially disbanded in 1996 when Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor and Texas Tech left the SWC to join the Big 8 (which then became the Big XII.). Mizzou and A&M didn’t move to the SEC until 2012, two decades after the remaking of the major conferences had begun. The problem kind of began with the SEC, I'm not sure why they felt they needed to expand back in the day with Texas A&M to begin with. I guess it started perhaps with Colorado and Nebraska leaving the Big 12 but they were additions that made sense to the Big 10 and Pac-12. I get why Texas A&M did it, however, they're realistically never going to win the SEC in football whereas they could have built a dominant program post-Manziel had they still been in the Big 12. From a fan perspective that kind of sucks, you're ensuring you'll forever be at best above average being in the SEC.
All of college sports got screwed up because of TAMU and Mizzou.
Fwiw, A&M won one Big12 championship, in 1998. The idea that the Manziel effect would’ve carried A&M to permanent conference contender status wasn’t precedented. Going 6-6 to 10-2 in the SEC is a far more enjoyable week to week watch than 6-6 to 10-2 against Iowa State, Baylor, Kansas, and okie state. The problem kind of began with the SEC, I'm not sure why they felt they needed to expand back in the day with Texas A&M to begin with. UCLA is 7-1. They lost to New Mexico (7-3) and have beaten Rider (4-6), Boston U (4-5), Lehigh (3-6), Idaho State (4-5), Cal State-Fullerton (2-8), Southern Utah (8-3), and Washington (6-3, O-2 Big 10).Oregon a small favorite at home vs UCLA
Don’t know much about this UCLA team but they must be decent
They were the only non-Texas team though in the SWC, so leaving made sense although Arkansas probably should have gone to the Big 8/12 instead.I trace it back 20 years earlier when Arkansas left the Southwest Conference for the SEC in 1992.
