Do not look at a replay of the OU player that broke his leg.
Yeah . . . that could turn your stomach.
If, OU had anywhere near a decent QB, then this would be a close game.
The big Orange are definitely the better team, but, this could be a much closer game.

Why does Michigan sing Mr Brightside between the 3rd and 4th quarter? Seems very random.
They have a tradition of playing "sing-along" songs like Sweet Caroline, etc. Mr Brightside was played during a TV timeout in 2016 and the students started singing it. Keep in mind there are 25,000 student tickets in the BIG House (which students must buy as season tickets and for which there is a waiting list). When 25,000 drunk and rowdy college students latch onto a song and sing it, it's gonna get played again. Over time, the rest of the stadium caught on and learned the lyrics.

I didn't watch the game, but I just checked the score. Did UNC really give up 70 pts?
Can someone explain.

There is no explanation. I watched the entire game and can not explain it.

The only thing I can say is that our team looked like Mack on the sidelines. WR's running lazy routes. Offensive line standing around blocking nobody while defenders ran right past them. A D line that looked like they were sleep walking. Marcus Allen getting torched repeatedly. An Australian rules kicker taking forever running to the right and kicking into an unblocked rushers chest.

I saw our fat lazy 5 star Travis Shaw get mauled and pushed around like a pinball by an OL 100lbs lighter.

Benny Hill stuff.

Well, I got banned again on IC. Not sure if it was my retorts to multiple Tar Pitter neanderthal hillbillies on the game thread comparing Mack Brown to Biden.

Or maybe it was calling out the crappy IC reporting saying Brown resigned, when all he said to his team was "I would resign if it would help this team."

The funny thing is, I checked my mail to see if there was an explanation, and all I saw was a couple of warnings from SnoopRob from months ago. Been so long since I have been over there.
Those post-JMU threads on IC were beauts……lots of political comments (not by you).

Thanks for the Benny Hill comment.

Benny Hill IS the best explanation.

I have a bet with my brother's that BC finishes top 4 in the league. I like my chances.
Clemson, Miami, Louisville and BC appear to be head and shoulders above the other 13 teams. But usually one or two slow starting teams pull it together in the second half of the season, like Va Tech or NCSU last year. But if September holds through November, you should win your bet.

Yeah, their offensive line too weak. Doesn't allow their QBs to operate effectively.

I was born in North Carolina (so grew up Tar Heel fan) but went to Tennessee. So I'm a big Vols football fan. This is the best defense I've seen us have since I've been affiliated with the school (since 2007). Strange since Heupel seen as an offensive guru. Coworker came over to watch, and we kept joking that at some point the Tennessee defensive line would catch one of OU's snaps. Came darn close a couple times.

Nico a legitimate Heisman candidate with some maturity and experience. I'm very optimistic about our chances at the playoff this year. I believe currently at 78% after this win.

UTenn has absolutely earned that #5 in the nation ranking . . ! I was a Heupel fan when he QBed at OU . .
5 of the top 6 ranked teams are SEC teams . . . with newcomer UT @ #1 . .
gonna be some epic games to view this year.

Yeah, that 1999-2000 OU title team was first year I truly watched college football. I remember being hooked on that team, especially after their big win against Nebraska in the old Big 12. He was Heisman runner-up but that team had a great defense. Hey, maybe shades of that mix for my Vols this year?

Yes, I'm loving my new SEC. Going to be an amazing season. Looking forward to Georgia at Bama next week. Tennessee still got Bama at home for the Third Saturday in October and at Georgia. And, of course, the dreaded Florida game, which we most always suck it up in for some reason.

Can someone remind me that Littrell was a good offensive coordinator at UNC because I am not feeling it right now?

I know the injuries have been ridiculous and devastating but my goodness our offense is terrible (and has been all year). Worst since the 1990’s.

The switch between great offense and terrible defense to great defense and terrible offense is mind boggling.

It’s Brent Venables 3rd season.

Kinda makes sense that your Sooners are getting better on defense and losing some on offense.

I’ve been pretty quiet in this thread, but I gotta give my Miami Hurricanes a shout out. Cam Ward is the goods, and the Canes have finally put together a solid championship-level team on both sides of the ball.

The Canes are absolutely legit this year. A great QB makes ALL the difference. And Ward is definitely a great QB. Very impressed by the defense so far, too.
