I don’t disagree. Merely pointing out that the video you posted is worthless.
Not that people can't lie convincingly, but it seemed like he was being honest. The fact that Neely was breathing the whole time, as Penny pointed out, and that he was using a hold designed to control but not restrict breathing, seems to be important also. What he said a year ago, regarding passengers being truly scared by Neely's threats about killing someone, aligns with what it's been reported witnesses were saying.

That hold is 100% a choke hold. Not a restraint or control hold- in fact, you can take back control in many ways without going to a rear naked choke. That's a submission hold, utilized to render your opponent unconscious. And believe me, it works very well.

Whether you can get air in your lungs doesn't matter if you can't get the oxygen in that air to your brain via your carotid arteries. That's how a rear naked choke works. It doesn't stop breathing, it starves the brain of oxygen. That hold constricts the carotid arteries, cutting off blood to the brain. It results in unconsciousness within seconds. Loss of bowel control between 30 seconds and a minute.

Blood chokes are distinct from air chokes. This argument is entirely bad faith.

Meanwhile, in Raleigh, jury selection is beginng for the owner of Taz's. Tasieer himself stabbed a guy 4 times in the chest, killing him because he thought he was stealing. The victim was unarmed. Will be interesting to see the contrasts of support vs attacks from you fellas in this case. For the record, the victim was also a long time drug addict like Jordan Neely, although he had not been arrest 42 times nor arrested3 times for attacking women on a subway.

He was convicted today of voluntary manslaughter. Sentencing still to come but likely 6 or 7 years.
