I think its real. The AP reported the existence of the letter in 2023 as well as the existence of an email from a prison employee sent after the suicide describing the letter and asking his superiors what he should do with it. This is the first time the contents have been released.

I know the physical letter is real, my question is whether it was actually authored by Epstein or whether it was someone effing around using public information. I know the FBI sent it for handwriting analysis, but I don't think there is any reporting of the results of that analysis. It feels too on the nose.

The mood of Epstein at the time may have been one of anger and a sense of betrayal that Trump wasn’t doing anything to help him. Given that, it seems more plausible that Epstein did pen the letter, but also that it was motivated by spite.

Real or not, it is not “too on the nose”. We have heard such talk by Dear Leader, first hand. Remember “grab ‘em by the pussy”. How soon we forget.

I think the email from the prison official reported 3 years ago puts it over the top for me. I don't see how some twitter rando fakes that. Maybe a different inmate who was bored and looking to stir the pot but how would they know Epstein planned to off himself?

Why Epstein would choose to write that letter to a semi-famous sexual assaulter at a different prison implicating only Trump is a mystery to me. I could see anywhere from: 1. its all true and he was commiserating with his secret buddy Nassar that committed different types of sexual assault to
2. it was made up by Epstein hoping to tie Trump in a Gordian knot on his way off the mortal coil. But I suspect the letter will turn out to be written by Epstein.

I think that's part of what makes it feel "too on the nose". If someone were writing a supposed Epstein note that implicated Trump, making a reference to having witnessed him "grabbing them by the pussy" would be an ironic shorthand for doing so.

I'm distinguishing between the plausibility of the accusations against Trump (certainly plausible) and the plausibility that Famous Serial Pedophile #1 wrote a letter to Famous Serial Pedophile #2 that says in substance "Remember all the young girls we abused? Trump's just like us, except not in jail." If it were in a TV script, it would be laughed at. Ultimately, I'm saying I don't know what to make of it but I'm not ready to take it at face value just yet.

Another woman filed a lawsuit claiming Trump and Epstein raped her in Epstein's NYC apartment when she was 13yo. There was a sworn eyewitness affidavit attached to the law suit which was filed in 2015.

The suit states that Trump threatened her and her family with death if she ever told anyone. At 13yo I'm guessing that was very frightening.

She was going to hold a press conference in 2016 but canceled...who can blame her ?

I just wish I knew what it was about Trump that makes 10’s of millions of people defend every horrible thing he does and says. I mean he is not intelligent. He’s not attractive or charming. I don’t get it.

He embodies the worst of themselves and celebrates those aspects thereby making them feel better and more empowered. He subconsciously tells them "you don't need to be ashamed. Being incredibly flawed is a selling point, not a negative"
