Well, you again proved that you know much more of the history of this topic than i do.Biblical literalism is a relatively new phenomenon, which started to arise with mass literacy in the 19th century, and in response to scientific findings that seemed to obviate some passages and texts. Before that, nobody really much cared....scripture was considered "inspired," not "inerrant" or "literally and factually true in every sentence"
This is not a negative or sarcastic. You do know more of the history of religions that I do. After reading this again it seemed a little sarcastic and that wasn't the intent.
