Yea, don't kick people while they are down, that's a trump move.
I guess i'm posing the "trolley problem". And I admit to feeling dirty having to ask the question given the amount of pain many Texans are going thru. I'd hate for my Repub relatives to be hurt. I'd also hate for the planet to melt due to tribalism and confirmation bias mixed with disinformation.

The wife of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said Thursday she is filing for divorce “on biblical grounds,” ending their 38-year marriage as he seeks to unseat Sen. John Cornyn in next year’s Republican Senate primary.

Angela Paxton, a state senator, wrote in a social media post that her decision followed “recent discoveries” – though she did not elaborate. In her divorce filing, obtained by CNN, she alleged that the attorney general had committed adultery and said they stopped living together around June 1, 2024.

You mean a Bible-thumping, "traditional family values" supporting, LGBTQ hating, anti-abortion extremist, loud and proud Evangelical supporter of Republican Jesus turns out to be an adulterer (likely a serial one) who is having an extramarital affair? Say it isn't so! The list of MAGA politicians who don't even attempt to practice what they preach and try to force onto others could probably stretch to the moon at this point. And yet Paxton is leading in the polls for next year's GOP Senate nomination in Texas, and I'll guarantee that his main base of support will be Texas Evangelical Christians. Same as it ever was.

I’ll be shocked if this is just run of the mill adultery. Given her position (TX state senator), her religious beliefs likely extend either just as far as they’re politically useful - well short of caring about a cheating husband- or far enough to overlook an extramarital escapade or two.
He’s either knocked someone up or the dalliance was with a woman 25 years younger, maybe someone he employs, and Angela Paxton found explicit texts, photos or even video. Outside chance it involved another man or farm animal.

I'm hoping farm animal.
