Here in liberal Mass, surprisingly, there were a lot of yahoos who had Trump flags on a pole mounted on their pickups before the 2024 election.

I've got a pickup truck here in Western Mass. Maybe it's time to invest in some counterterrorism?

The answer to all of these is the same...it's not that MAGA doesn't realize that Newsom is trolling Trump & MAGA, it's that they see being trolled as the exclusive domain of lesser people and so they refuse to acknowledge that it is happening to Trump and them.

They can't stand seeing Trump be disrespected in this way, but they know if they acknowledge that it bothers them due to the disrespect trolling confers on the trolled, then they are admitting they're the punchline of the joke. So, instead, they have to treat it as if Newsom is being serious and it's a terrible look for a politician or they have to downplay how actually funny it is so they can pretend it doesn't bother them.

Seems to me quite a few folks have noticed. I dont watch cable news at all, but I've seen just in this thread quite a few right wing media folks talking about it on air.

You also seem to be impacted. Are you one of the online libs to which you refer?

Mirrors are hard sometimes. The reflection isnt always flattering.
 
It is equally unfunny when Trump or Newsom do it.

That said, currently Newsom’s satire is cathartic for a lot of non-MAGA folks, though I suspect a lot of folks enjoying it now will ultimately tire of it long before the 2028 election. Eventually, Newsom will stumble over one that goes too far for too many people and have to apologize and cool it. As far a I can tell, there is no too far for Trump in the hearts of MAGA.

Lololol I’m truly starting to believe that the aroused ram is a parody poster. There is nobody this consistently dumb on quite literally every topic or subject in existence. It’s not even remotely possible.

Trump should try actually governing the entire fucking country for a change, rather than spending all his time watching Fox News and tweeting - it's not like it doesn't have any pressing issues. Why do you care if you don't live in California anyway?
