Bottom line, this war is wrong no matter who started it. If a Dem president had done the same thing I would want them removed from office just as I do the bumbling orange idiot.

I'm tired of wasting money on wars and occupations every time a republican is elected. We shouldn't be focused of destroying other countries, we sod be focused on making our country the best for our people. Something trump claimed to believe, but it turned into another lie.

Now @Callatoroy tell us how these ears are great and help the American people.

Just look at all we get from these needless wars....

Fix our Healthcare system? FUCK NO.
FIx our homeless issues? FUCK NO
Fix our economy? FUCK NO
Fix our education system? FUCK NO
Fix our food network? FUCK NO

see a trend here? The war helps NO one. Just trump and Netanyahu. And it will have negative returns for decades of not centuries.

Now keep telling us how great the war is.

It isn’t just Israel’s fight? How many Americans died on Oct 7th? How many have died at the hands of Iran’s actions since its revolution? How many more times does an Oct 7th have to happen for you to realize that you can’t reason with people like that? They would literally stone you and your partner / husband to death. Why would you not want to remove that mindset from the earth? Why do you think it’s ok for people like that to be able to hold the world’s economy hostage and have possession of a nuclear bomb? You have absolutely zero understanding of the level of evil we are dealing with or either you are so desensitized to it you can’t process it.
These are the same exact lies that were told to get us into the Iraq/Afghanistan wars. $8 trillion later I don't see how anything has improved. There was a minute there when you were against wars in the Middle East and proclaiming America first is what matters, but the cult has proven too strong for you to remain loyal to whatever ideals you may have any given day.

And you keep skirting the issue or ignoring why so many civilians died. You seem to condone it in some weird way. That is at the heart of why so many died. So quit ignoring it and address it.
NO ONE IS FUCKING CONDONING HAMAS.

YOU ARE TOO BLIND TO SEE THAT ISREAL WENT FAR BEYOND RETALIATION.

what issue is being skirted. HAMAS WAS WRONG, that doesn't justify the level of Isreal's response.

Stop claiming others are skirting the issue when you will not be honest about Isreal's response. You justify their over response and refuse to admit they went beyond retaliation to genocide.

Exactly, what happened to the promise of no new wars....

1 billion for the ballroom

Two things im certain of. (1) If this is how it ultimately plays out, i cant support that and it will damage the party in the midterms. Im flatly against this. (2) the hypocrisy to come from this board will be spectacular as it will act as if the dems are above last minute, late night political games.

The Iran war is unnecessary and unjustified.

We shouldn't be attacking them.

End of story. No amount of of ex-fox weekend news show host bullshit rhetoric will ever justify it.

Get out now, instead of twenty years from now, like our last unjustified war.

I'm sick of American money being spent on unnecessary wars, and supporting other countries, like Isreal, wars. We should immediately pull out and also stop all funding of Isreal and arms sales to Isreal. Then start negotiating.

Then we can use our tax dollars to make our country better.

I don't see anyone in the article complaining about the late night political games.

Yea, go ahead and set the false narrative, so you don't have to respond honestly to another fuck up by your cult leaders.

Numbers 2 is bullshit. And you only write that because you know how bad number 1 is.

Stupid lying mother fucking spineless cult members. The Republicans should be ashamed of how they have sold their principals and dignity in honor of their cult leader.

Do you not see that you're applying the same moral and strategic reasoning as the Iranians? We do not have to fight the battle on their terms. But that's exactly what Trump, Hegseth and Bibi are doing.
I don’t see that. How do you fight it? They are manipulating you just as they hope to. Kill your son/daughter/spouse and then run hide under a hospital so you can’t strike back. Over, and over, and over. At some point enough is enough. Apparently you guys are ok with continuing to take it because you haven’t addressed it other than to just say it isn’t right and blame the victim.

Maybe this will help. Imagine this is ZZL Politics Tehran and we're having this same discussion.

"How do you fight the decades of violence against Iranians and Palestinians? You say we shouldn't respond with more violence? They are manipulating you just as they hope to. Kill your son/daughter/spouse and then run hide behind their nuclear arsenals so you can’t strike back. Over, and over, and over. At some point enough is enough. Stop with the lies.

No one said that Isreal should just I take it and not protect themselves.

They went far beyond simply protecting themselves.

But you just keep presenting the false narrative that they were only protecting themselves.

Netanyahu was happy they attacked because it bought him the support he needed for his plans to eliminate the Palestinians.

The death toll in Gaza, since 2023, is 72,615. How does that compare to October 7th? Since you seem to think it's equal.

Would it affect our economy if we left now and Iran was in control of the strait?
Would it affect the world economy?
Would it affect our economy if Iran had or used a nuke (even if only once)?
Do you trust Iran not to attack the US or its allies if it had a nuke?
If Iran was allowed to get a nuke do you think they wouldn’t use the threat to intimidate its neighbors and that might push them to want nukes?
If Iran had a nuke, would the world be able to control Iran from doing bad things, or would the cost at that point be to high?

While not developed for this purpose, the Karpman Drama Triangle explains so much about never-ending sectarian conflicts like ours and Israel's with Iran. Both Israel and Iran put themselves in the role of the victim and the other in the role of the persecutor. Israel and the US see the US as the rescuer, and Iran sees the US as another persecutor. It does not have to be this way, but every time we reinforce the roles by doing things like this stupid unnecessary war, it makes the way out much harder to see.

Distorting reality doesnt make your point. For the most part, Israel has been defensive. It isn’t / hasn’t taken unprovoked offensive actions. Even the current action isnt unprovoked as it is directly tied to Oct 7 and Iran’s publicly stated mission of annihilating Israel. That is the part of the argument this board acts like doesnt play a role. Forgetting or ignoring history doesnt make your argument stronger. This issue can’t be framed or defined by a 2 year window.

Oh?

"Multiple reports have also described cases in which Israeli security forces were either accompanying or reportedly supporting the attackers, raising concerns over enforcement and accountability. A United Nations report found that out of 1,500 killings between 2017 and September 2025, Israeli authorities opened 112 investigations, resulting in only one conviction."

The straight issue was caused by the war, you can't use that to justify the war.

No Iran having nukes wasn't the concern you want it to be. It was never justification for starting the war.

The war has hurt the economy, so trying to use the economy to justify the war. The economy would have been better if the orange turd hadn't started a war.

So using hypothetical to justify an unnecessary war. Iran didn't have nukes, they were not two weeks away. It's the saw lie that was used to invade Iraq. It was a lie then, it's a lie now.

We can't answer the "if Iran..." questions because they are fabricated hypotheticals.

1) Had not seen that. Interesting. Appreciate you sharing it.

2) reason im not sure it applies ( at least in my opinion) is that the model has an unwritten or unstated assumption that both sides are rational or have a degree of sanity. There is no rationality or sanity in religious fanatics that have been taught since birth to hate Jews or Americans. In this fight, it boils down to right / wrong. Not totally dissimilar from the nazi’s. There was no reasoning with hitler. Hitler = the Iran regime. The only option is total defeat. You sure as hell don’t allow that group to gain nukes or give it the power to affect your economy.
