LOL, right???The day has finally come. When you sent your son to App, I’m sure there were many sleepless nights worrying about hurricane and tornado threat.

I haven't seen that. It may gust to 30 in the triangle but not sustained. They are calling for sustained 30mph winds tomorrow in the triangle. That's wild
I don't think I have ever heard them having a tornado warning before in all my 49 years of living in NC. I know we didn't when I was there. The parking lot for the mall that was there when I was at App flooded all the time.My son is App State — they were sent to basement for a tornado warning last night and his classes were canceled today due to conditions up there already being bad. High flash flood risk up there.
cause the mountains are bout to be FUBARNo update to this thread after Guv Cooper's presser?
Dude sounds worried.
I can only imagine what the Watauga is going to do Valley Cruises.I have a cabin in the mountains west of Boone — legit concerned whether the mountainside can sustain this much rain in so short a period.
Here's the thing - they've already had a ton of rain over the past 2-3 days. Not anywhere for it to sink. It's gonna start rolling on top of the ground right of the bat.I have a cabin in the mountains west of Boone — legit concerned whether the mountainside can sustain this much rain in so short a period.
Yeah, all I can do is keep watching my video feed from my security system, try not to freak once the internet device there inevitably goes out and hope for the best. Here's the thing - they've already had a ton of rain over the past 2-3 days.
