Not that I've given up on Hubert yet, but what do y'all think of Grant McCasland as a possibility? Big XII and Big East coaches seem to be the only conferences whose coaches may still see the ACC as a step up. I'm not sure we can lure the up and comers in the SEC like Todd Golden away anymore.

(I try to keep an eye on the young up and comers who seem to have the goods. The others I've been watching the last few years -Pat Kelsey and Dusty May- have been scooped up by power conference schools already)

The premium certainly has an overall negative vibe, but some of that us kustified with the state of the program amd Hubert being retained. With that said I can see how it turns off some snd there are those who post ad nauseum

Some dawgs have yet to hit the portal. After the final four is set tomorrow night, look for some dawgs to join the ranks - especially from those 12 teams that were in the Sweet 16. Even after the final game there will be some for the FF teams to hit the portal. We had 3 hit the portal after the final game in 2021-2022. Garcia wasn't technically still with the team for half the season, but still, he was on the roster - and was a pretty good get for Minn. Averaged 19ppg and 7.5rpg and shot 47.5% this past season for the Gophers

Here's to finding some Maneks, Ingrams and Ryans this go around - and fewer Nances & Tysons

Nance would have been an asset this season.

That's the prayer, but I'm getting the bad feeling that today's dudes just don't want to play at UNC as currently constructed. Sad.

i think he means HD’s in a “do or die” season and things aren’t looking good at the moment.

I, personally, am waiting to see what our team looks like in a few weeks before I make any type of major pronouncements.
Oh, we didn't get a really good big man, our shooting is suspect, we're not deep enough and Hubert has the wrong offense for this group of players.

Offseason Scoop: Moving Along (page 49 is gist to that point, then he posts about it later on too)

All right...thank you.

I read it as UNC and EC were not going to come to agreement about $$, which basically translates into "we're not going to pay EC what he wants, we're going to focus our financial resources elsewhere." Okay.

But yea, thank you for directing me to the basis for some of that chatter.

Which is a nice way of showing someone the door.
