I agree with you about needing to factor in volume and role but Stojakovic wasn't much more efficient as a freshman in a role where he wasn't the highest usage player. I'm personally just not convinced he's actually a great shooter based on his college results - and plus I think he could be a defensive liability at the 3.Raw 3Pt% is really not a great stat for measuring shooters. Volume is very important, as is FT% and type of 3PT%. Leaky Black could hit a decent percentage of those open 3s, but he wasn't a good 3 PT shooter, same with Nance.
Dude was by far Cal's best player last year and sometimes could not handle load (see game in Smith Center last year). But he would be exactly what this team needs. Unfortunately, we likely can't afford his price tag -- even with the Lubin funds now in play.
