Republicans just repeat this lie over and over on right wing media, and that is what @Ramrouser mainly consumes. So, if he constantly hears something -- without correction by a host or a reply post -- he just regurgitates it out on this board assuming that it must be true.

The good thing for Ram, unlike most conservatives, is that he is actually being exposed to facts on this board. Maybe one day he'll learn to use critical discernment when consuming right wing media 24/7. But i doubt it.

I have a friend who followed the rules and immigrated from Mexico three years ago, using the government app. She left because her husband at the time threatened to unalive her and their three children. She was granted asylum, and had a court date for next year for permanent residency.

That court date was cancelled in February. And she was told that she and her children can be arrested and removed at any time. Because she followed the rules that were set at the time. And the current administration used that to identify her as a "threat."

She just literally just texted me that ICE was at her children's school today, and that she expects to be picked up in the coming days. If she is, she probably has two to three weeks to live before her ex-husband finds her. She's signed a power of attorney to her brother, who is here, to keep her children, because she doesn't want them to have the same fate as her if she is arrested by ICE, because they'll be unalived if sent back.

So, let me be perfectly clear. They're not removing criminals. They're removing anyone who was not born in this nation that is anything other than European. And your rhetoric falls on deaf ears when I see people that are good human beings suffering because of the utter hatred of people like you.

Sorry to hear this story—I’m not shocked by it at all, sadly. My ex has had a couple cases nearly identical to what you describe over the past couple months. Folks like Ram have idea that “doing it the right way” isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.


Side note: the ex has told me stories that would shock even a shitty human like Ram, in terms of the violence some of these folks have faced in their home countries. Only to be turned away in
Immigration court by a judge who needed to meet a quota for rejections.

Yeah.

My lady friend from Mexico? Not one of her children came via "her choice" if you get what I'm saying. And she told me that at one point police had to rescue her from her now ex-husband.

He has a clue, and it’s a good one, that other poorly informed right-wingers believe it’s 15-20 or 30 million “illegals.” All living off the government teat and voting in elections.

Somehow, those millions haven’t swung elections to the Democrats…….
 
Just checking back in. I was shocked to see where a number of you are doubting whether there was an unprecedented surge of the border by illegal aliens during the Biden Administration. I mean, that's an accepted fact even by the mainstream media and identified as one of the main reasons you lost the 2024 elections. It's like asking for sources or links that the Holocaust occurred.

The illegals haven't swung elections to the Democrats because, after 2020, many red states like Georgia tightened up the voting requirements and kept non citizens from voting.
