(it isn't piling on to point out that going dark for any amount of time after the VCU loss was not good. that is just self evident)
This might be a semantic quibble but if something is self-evident and you point it out anyway, isn’t that kinda the definition of piling on? Don’t get me wrong, it didn’t really bother me that it was “pointed out” (several times), but let’s call a spade a spade (if we can still use that phrase?)

I think discussing something that is reported to have happened within the immediate time span that the event is first reported is far from piling on, even if some of those things are supposedly "self-evident".

The only other option is to essentially put a moratorium on discussing HD now that he's been fired like we're somehow desecrating the memory of the dead by mentioning him, which is fairly silly.

On Charlotte radio, your guy Matt Doherty was asked if he felt Hubert was treated unfairly. Doherty responded that Hubert definitely wasn’t treated unfairly, if you want to see unfairly you need to go back to 2003, when he was fired by UNC.

If not piling on it was emphasizing a benign detail in an effort to question Hubert yet again.

It's unnecessary and unimportant.

For real? Seriously? Surely this is a joke. What did the interviewer say?

You know he's a human and it's ok to admit that not everything he does is perfect, right?

It was an interesting detail on an interesting topic, it's fair game for discussion.

Give the man a little grace.

How he handles trauma is his business. He did nothing wrong here.

Dude, no one is suggesting he be tarred and feathered.

We're merely discussing it on a message board. Lighten up, Francis.
