That's why we should go ahead and make the change. If there is anything more antithetical to the spirit of UNC basketball than being at the beck and call of the big donors, I'm not sure what it would be. I understand why it is. I just not sure I'm going to like what we get.

Davis’ legacy as a Tar Heel standout who played for Dean Smith, coached under Roy Williams and led the program for five years have placed an emphasis on handling this situation carefully and with respect, according to sources.

I figured this would be the case, but I’m glad to read it in print.
