Who did we beat and how did we beat them? How close were the other games? How well were the teams prepared? Iow, telling me we went 3-3 doesn't really mean anything more than we didn't have a complete disaster.Would a 3-3 finish without Caleb be considered good, bad, or ugly?
Yeah, 3-3 to end the season would be pretty good but not terribly surprising. The how would be a much bigger deal.Who did we beat and how did we beat them? How close were the other games? Aren't you a professional high level basketball coach?Just different approaches, but I wouldn't fire a coach unless I'm pretty certain I'm getting a better coach.
I think there's good candidates out there, I just disagree that the list is as deep as you think it is. But I would assume that given our resources and history, we would be able to get a good coach.
The irony in all this is that I'm on a committee to hire a national team coach...joining in as damage control. Our Federation fired a coach but now they're struggling to get a replacement who's better.
At this point I think the what is more is importance than the how.Who did we beat and how did we beat them? How close were the other games? How well were the teams prepared? Iow, telling me we went 3-3 doesn't really mean anything more than we didn't have a complete disaster.
Now that you are consulting on the hire, why not pull a Dick Cheney and recommend yourself? The irony in all this is that I'm on a committee to hire a national team coach...joining in as damage control. Our Federation fired a coach but now they're struggling to get a replacement who's better.

2-1 at home, 1-2 on the road maybe. If UNC can pull off a 3-3 through to the end then I'd say you'd have to tip your hat to coaching because strategy (and player gutsiness) is the only way such a thing happens. The next six games were going to be a gauntlet WITH Caleb Wilson.
At State college Tuesday 2/17, at Syracuse Saturday 2/21, Louisville Monday 2/23, Virginia Tech Saturday 2/28, Clemson Tuesday 3/3, and at dook Saturday 3/7
I think I would take that right now2-1 at home, 1-2 on the road maybe.
Yea. We came out ready to play and without Caleb and Vesscar. One thing this team has been consistently good at is protecting ball. Four TOs yesterday. I think we average 9 a game.If Hubert can keep them playing with intensity on D for 40 minutes and protect the ball on O, just those two things as the lynchpin, I’ll tip my hat regardless of how we shoot or the results. The urgency against Pitt was the thing I was happiest about.
