yup. I already complained about the giant white rectangle full of news I don't care about.

I will ask about deleting permissions. maybe we can get those turned on? I have no idea.
 
I am not sure who he is, but I for one got sick of them ignoring tech problems and feature requests. We had a lot more moderating tools at the start of the 247 relationship then by the end of it. They actually took away things we could do to moderate things as time went on, and would blanket shoot down any suggestions we made for new ones. The last month or so thei rmoderation panel just ceased to exist. I don't think it was planned, because the link to it was still there. We could only do things on a post and user level. No central hub, so no undeleting threads or viewing reported posts.

Not that those things ever worked well to begin with. 95% of the time the loading animation would time out to a blank screen. They just didn't care about the forums.

Between us, I'm hoping 247 gets exploded because Phog.net, my original site, is still under their management and the site is a shell of what it once was. Largely because of 247. Don't wish people to lose their jobs and such, of course, but I just think they suck at doing things.

Well as I mentioned a couple days ago. I am curious to see if it survives the paramount - skydance merger. I am curious how long the paramount + offer will stay on the table after the merger happens.

YEs and Ben and Buck have taken over the old THI which is now owned by On3.

I am going to give Andrew Jones a chance. To be honest IC has become a place where nothing worthwhile is posted. Staples and Barnes are really good as are a few posters but they are few and far between.
 
I’m undecided on what to do. I’m still locked in at the 247 site for a few months. Probably should give the new site a try at the intro rate. But it’s been a little off-putting the way this has been handled from all sides (not saying that’s anyone’s fault, or trying to opine on whose fault it is - but the way everyone has apparently felt contractually obligated to communicate about this has made for a bit of a confusing transition, one that suggests some animosity between the two sides).

In the end this may end up being an excuse to ditch a paid subscription to a UNC message board. But if Ben Sherman comes here to personally recruit us to the new IC, I may reconsider.
