Just a reminder: we only have a few more years of Trump. Meanwhile, Elon Musk, who is likely going to be on this earth for another 30 years, and will probably try to insert his mind into a clone at some point during that time, is just getting started.

donald dump is no diff than 99% of the rest of americans....his true god is the greenback god.

i was at lunch yesterday and there was a large table of nurses beside me. all they talked about was how much they were making and the materialistic garbage they were bragging about buying. no mention of going into nursing to help people. no mention of helping their patients.......all about the greenback. thats our true god in america.

Even if it did happen – which it didn’t, but even if it did- those nurses are the ones who are wiping the shit out of your ass crack and the vomit out of your hair and keeping your sorry miserable ass alive in the hospital, so whatever money they make, it’s probably not even enough for what they do, and more power to them for enjoying the hell what money they do make, you miserable fuck.

I feel like cliches about "organized religion" follow from longstanding anti-Catholic arguments, on the one hand and, on the other, a modern anti-institutional reflex that contributed to our current political and social jamb. It's especially ironic when it comes from a bunch of dudes (myself included) launching so many ignored and feckless political opinions into the internet aether.

After all, the civil rights movement was, in no small part, an expression of "organized religion." Barbour and Warnock are representatives of organized religion.

Yea, I sort of agree. Organized anything is crap, or at least it brings in some ugly aspects of our social psychology...feels like religion gets singled out unfairly.
 
Other than plague, war and famine, what has agriculture ever done to you?

ETA: I forgot the biggie. Without the concentration of people we wouldn't need government ,either. That was kinda covered under plague ,I guess.
