Is this serious? We bombed the shit out of Vietnam. And Laos. And Cambodia.
We certainly did. And we had tunnel rats clearing out extensive tunnel networks. They had about a 30% casualty rate (5% killed and 20+% wounded.) My cousin was a tunnel rat and was seriously wounded. He’s 76 now and very active, fit, and doing well. He lives in Tidewater but spends most of his time at his house in Duck these days.

I could have sworn my questions were about Israel and Gaza and genocide……you know, the subject of this thread.

Your problem (and the problem for other apologists for the Israeli atrocities) is no one can tell us how they can “destroy Hamas” without mass murder of innocent Palestinian civilians. But y’all are OK with that because you don’t believe there are any innocent Palestinians. Just own it.
They can’t. Wars are like that. Innocent people die.

It's sad that they are so frightened by a boat carrying food, medicine, and baby formula that they are forced to commit a war crime to stop it. Yes, since the boat was in international waters, it is a war crime (and act of piracy) to attack it.

In 2025, you expect Israel to sign up for a ground assault that will kill so many of their own soldiers when the Hamas people are in tunnels? The bar for Israel is impossible to clear.
I guess option 2 of leveling all of Gaza (except the tunnels, somehow) is a much better option.

Doesn’t forgive the suffering piled upon civilians in Gaza but if this IDF claim is accurate (and IDF has made it pretty clear any of their claims require confirmation by credible sources), then it does create a lot of questions about who among UN, WHO and European aid officials knows what about Hamas tunnels under world agency hospitals and other locations.

Fake news! Israel built those tunnels to frame Hamas.

And you still refuse to believe every single western intelligence service and instead post conspiracy theories cooked up by Hamas.
Beginning, IIRC, with the lie that IDF bombed a hospital, when it was Hamas who bombed their own hospital.

It's sad that you don't understand why they have to stop every boat, truck, etc coming into Gaza.

Bullshit. You don't stop a boat 160 miles from Gaza in the middle of the night with a special ops team in international waters. What's the point of stopping an aid ship?

There will be innocent people that die. Every war has that.
Sure, but do you have any expectation of restraint when one side has immense technological and resource superiority? What’s an acceptable ratio of innocent civilians: armed combatants in such a war? What about innocent Palestinian civilians: IDF forces? How many “bad” children should be sacrificed for the safety of a single ”good” soldier?

Nope, just one well-placed bunker-busting bomb into his tunnel, which happened to be directly adjacent to a hospital.
So yeah, then just take out the hospital while you're at it to get one guy. You show your true colors and just admit that you don't value Palestinian lives. Stop pretending like you care.

They didn't take out a hospital. They took out the bunker adjacent to and beneath the hospital.
