What’s crazy isn’t just that Frum applauds the strikes, it’s that he frames them as rational, as the “right move,” just executed by the “wrong team.” That encapsulates so much of the liberal foreign policy worldview: technocratic, moralizing, and eerily detached from the real-world consequences of American power. And when liberals nod along, or fall silent, they’re revealing the same instincts. They don’t have a theory of how to stop this cycle of violence.

If the Republicans had any integrity, they would go along with a plan to impeach Trump. Nothing to do with the decision on bombing Iran but in a time like now, it’s legitimately insane to be playing around on social media in his position. It’s too insane for words and the fact we shrug is crazy.
We elected the crazy uncle in 2016, and re-elected the even crazier and even more senile uncle in 2024. We popularized modern democracies in 1789, yet we are very bad it. When Europe messes it up, like with Boris Johnson, their mess ups are never as bad and they fix them faster.
