None of those were committed by the groups we are talking about. You’re just lumping them in because they are Muslim.

But you trust the army that has killed more civilians this past year than both those groups combined.
But that doesn’t matter to you because the victims were Palestinian and Lebanese.

Not true. As I stated, I’m for no war. I wish no conflict would exist. That’s not a world that’s possible. With the real world as a backdrop, I can only support Hamas/Iran or Israel. I choose Israel.

What is wrong with neutrality or actually "A plague on both your houses"? I don't care to be perceived as supporting either of the assholes. Israel had a great deal of justification at first but with Bibi in charge have become the moral equivalent of Russia, imo. Along with that, they have both actively and passively used the US to our detriment. I don't feel like we owe them another thing.

I have a pretty negative view of humans and thus that wraps my world view.

In the Ukraine-Russia conflict, I’m always for pouring money into helping Ukraine because there’s no US troop involvement and the money aspect is pretty much made up. We have learned over decades but especially over the last 10, that money is just kind of whatever. The way I view the fight is Russia hates us and is a huge pain but we can’t go to war with them obviously so this is us fighting them by only providing money, which again is a made up thing.

Israel-Hamas/Hezbollah/Iran is slightly different but not really. Hamas/Hezbollah/Iran (wow, what a group) are people I think want to harm the US and overall are awful people. If we stay out of troops and only provide money, it’s in our national interest to let Israel have at it. The loss of civilians isn’t lost on me and it saddens me quite a bit but again, humans are overall an awful lot. We have to choose bad guys over other bad guys and let’s not kid ourselves - America is also a bad guy. I’m defining bad guy as will do whatever to protect their own self interest.

You are 100% correct about that....but that is "The Israelis" for right now much as the bullshittery during GW Bush was "The Americans".

The best thing non right wing Israelis could do is a little in house ethnic cleansing of their own...either democratically or otherwise. They as a population are going to long suffer for their own domestic inaction in my opinion.
 
There's not a damned thing I can think of in the last 50 years that Israel has done for the US, except incidentally. They have used us as cover to kill their enemies, not ours. They've attacked our military and sold our secrets. The two worst allies we've had as a nation are them and Saudi Arabia. You're drinking the Flavor Aid if you believe differently.

What @RaiGuy is forgetting is that it's probably actually Muslims who are the biggest victims of Muslim theological violence and Jihadism.

Jihadists always find a reason.

Hamas and Hezbollah are Islamic terrorist groups. Both have the blood of Americans on their hands. Israel is taking out our enemies for us just like Ukraine is.

Mainstream, normal Muslims *never* lose sight of that fact. It's basically a trope that westerners always think they're the only ones affected by the radicals.

Right, in post 276, he accused another poster of being xenophobic for pointing out that Jihadism isn't only an issue for Israel but countries around the world....which is absolutely true. I just pointed out that it's also other Muslims who are victimized by Jihadist/Muslim terrorism.

That's because that poster (and you as well) are lumping in all those terror groups together when they each have their own agendas. You're making it sound like it's because the Muslims don't like the west and are attacking it. That is what Israel wants people to believe. However, the reason Hamas and Hezbollah exist is directly because of Israeli colonialism, occupation, and mistreatment of Palestinians and Lebanese. It's not because "they hate the Jews". The real Jewish hatred by the white Christian Europeans is a big reason why we are in the situation we are in now.

When you keep repeating the trope that Muslims hate the west and that is why they are attacking Israel, it only dehumanizes Palestinians more and minimizes the reaction to them being slaughtered. It's the same bullshit that Giuliani said that Palestinians at 2 years old are taught to kill Americans. What that does is justifies Israel killing children. None of this matters to you because it's not happening to you and it is evident in your comments.

I mean, we're sort of going in circles here, but were you under the impression that Muslims believed that "jihadism" could only be directed outwardly at non-Muslims? In other words, do you think your insight - that other Muslims are victimized by Jihadist terrorists - is new information for RG or literally any other Muslim on the planet?

If you did a ratio of Muslims vs. non-Muslims affected by jihadi violence, it would literally be something like 9:1. And you think that Muslims aren't aware of this?

Most humans buried under the rubble are not terrorists. Same with those who have died, lost limbs, suffered burns, lost children, have no home, have no food, have no medical care,,,. And we, the great benevolent nation, just rub our fat bellies and yawn. Welll... we do send our thoughts and prayers. :-)
