As Trump and others said many times during the campaign, their "crisis" is - "they're poisoning the blood of our country."

And there are people still saying that MAGA isn't a racist based movement? FFS, it basically got started with the Obama birth certificate bs.
I can't speak for anybody else but for me I see a big difference between saying that almost anyone that voted for Trump is either a hardcore or softcore racist, and that MAGA is a racist based movement.

And I think it matters because if over half the white people in the country are hardcore MAGA racists that only care about keeping brown people down and out, Democrats need to run a very different campaign than if 10% of Republicans are racist and the rest care about things like abortion or not being able to get a good job or whatever else is most important to them.

Maybe I run in different circles, but about half of the people I interact with daily are probably Republicans and I have my doubts that making sure a minority is not President or that black people can't be their boss is anywhere on their lists of issues they vote on.

I've literally heard "Good White Christian Men" say that they had to vote for Romney because a Muslim was not supposed to lead our country.

Most of it is not overt, but there is plenty of it if you listen. Listen for little comments, like if they recieve bad service do they mention the race of the server only when the server if non white.

I think for a lot of folks it is a lack of realization that racism is systemic and that they have grown up "in it" and because of that they have to constantly be aware and fight it.

Trumpism has served to relieve a great many folks from that fight. I genuinely think that some folks tried...and it was hard...and then the rhetoric of MAGA came along and freed them from that personal struggle by sending soothing messages that abandoning the high road was just fine.

If you watch the news or read the web, there are hundreds of pundits. I don’t have the time of interest in listing every one and whether I think they had credibility.
So you realize the pothole you stepped in and are now pretending that it is an impossible task to escape. Got it.

Ok, there. Now you explain why you voted trump? You didn't have anyone hiding the truth from you. You knew he was a piece of shit from day one in 2015, yet you voted for him three times.
I feel like I’ve repeatedly explained my support for Trump:

I like our borders closed
I love DOGE
I hate DEI/woke government and military
I love tax cuts
I like good trade deals
I like Middle East peace, and
Peace in Ukraine
I like law and order
I hate Hamas “protestors”
I like all inclusive energy policy and falling gas prices
I like Scott Bessent and the rest of the Cabinet.
I love his judicial appointments

Do I need to go on?

But mostly I like a cogent and energetic Commander in Chief who gets things done.

As I posted earlier, I think that about 1/3 of the Trump base are hard bigots, not 1/3 of the country. Let's call them George Wallace voters.

2/3 of Trump supporters are soft bigots( not 2/3 of the country ) meaning that their support for Trump is not driven by his policies that attack people of color and other minority groups, but they tacitly give a nod to the spirit of his cruelty and then vote for the Trump policies that they think will fatten their wallets.

so based on your last line, you don't support Trump ?

And you're getting none of that, must make you feel special.

You like law and order, yet you vote for an administration that wants to ignore due process and do away with habeas corpus.

A commander in chief who isn't getting anything done but a show for those who worship him. This administration has passed less legislation than any since before Reagan in the first 100 days. Why? Because he thinks he's a dictator and can rule with his pen.

Should I go on...

I will.

He hasn't brought peace to Ukraine, there still fighting.

Inclusive energy policy? You mean going back to coal and stopping modern progress into alternatives? Yea, really Inclusive.

Nothing you claim to support, other than the loosers on his cabinets, is actually happening.

Wanting the borders "Closed" shows a high level of ignorance and how our country needs immigrants. But I understand since your reality TV messiah doesn't understand policy and has no immigration policy, guess you couldn't support that. Fox would pull your trump card.

I think the numbers are way different based on nothing more than a gut feel. I think the one third number or maybe even less might include these hardcore or softcore racists and 2/3's are people that care about other things.

And some of that is going to be how you define it. Do the people that want more secure borders care more about immigrants coming in because they're Hispanic or because they can't get a job or because they worry about terrorists or criminals mixing in? Who knows. Maybe they don't even know.

Self-Awareness is tough. Takes effort.

Exactly, no one is using cogent to describe that moron.
Anyone who refers to Trump as cogent needs to have their own head examined, period. He hasn't been cogent in any of his presidential campaigns, and in all of his presidential debates - including the one with Biden - he's done little but ramble and mumble cliches and sound incoherent himself. The number of Trumpers who continue to believe in and place blind faith in a man and leader who doesn't actually exist continues to be impressive. The Donald Trump that many Trump posters here keep defending is a fiction of their imagination. The real Donald Trump is an ignorant, idiotic, slob who has failed in multiple businesses, lies about everything at the drop of a hat, surrounds himself with incompetent and corrupt brown-nosers and sycophants whose main job is to tell him how great he is, and has no empathy or concern for anyone except himself.

In fairness there were so many (even after the debate) that said Biden should not and would not step aside. So many Democrats and media lost all credibility because it’s one thing to say a guy trying to do this and that behind the scenes. Democrats and media were legitimately claiming something that anyone with two eyes knew was a lie.
Bullshit

All that translates to “I’m a piece of shit.”

Two things....

1. Biden was being protected by those around him so, to whatever degree the media was defending him, the media was likely lied to by those around Biden to keep the facade in place.

2. The above being likely true, it doesn't excuse the fact that the media rarely acknowledged his decline, but went full denial by claiming things like "he's better than ever and sharp as a tack", etc.

That's what the fear of Benito Cheeto will do to you, I guess.
