That’s right. And that order could have been postponed / delayed / etc until the logistics worked. You don’t think I’m putting all this on just the military do you? Biden is equally to blame but at the time, all credibility and objectivity was out the door because Joe was the new swinging dick and you guys thought he walked on water. knew that order existed for weeks / months and the preparedness and execution was abysmal
And you're the only one ranting about Biden on a thread about a General being punished for doing what he was ordered to do. I don't really give a shit what your opinions are of Biden or the decision to withdraw. I do care that you think it is perfectly OK to undermine the entire ethos of the United States military to punish someone for something for reasons.

Yes, those baffons. The deadline was forced by a peace treaty signed by the United States. That might be toilet paper to you, but this is why need adults in charge. The most important thing a country has is its word. Other countries need to be able to rely on them. If we are breaking treaties left and right, nobody will ever make treaties with us. Children understand this concept.
Yes, because the taliban is such a stickler about keeping your word. What a weak argument. The taliban won’t trust us anymore. And it’s bullshit for you to say that the US couldn’t have pushed the date back a few weeks to be more prepared. What could the taliban have done? Complained to the refs. Brandon was an idiot trying to win political points and you guys slurped his balls like he was the 2nd coming of Lincoln. Nobody was held accountable for the disaster and you can’t rewrite history. Accountability is being restored and there is much more to come.

Yes, he did. And when Biden took control as CIC he could have modified the date if more time was needed. He alone had the authority and power if they weren’t ready or if his generals said more time was needed. But he didn’t because of trying to score political points. Brandon undid many things trump put in place. That excuse doesn’t pass the hypocrisy test.

You are a fucking moron. The date was set by treaty. No, Biden could not just indefinitely postpone the withdrawal, given that Trump had already committed the US. As it was, Biden delayed the departure a little bit, but American presidents are actually supposed to follow treaties established by prior presidents. It's how our system is going to work.

The fault for the timing is on Trump alone. He was the one trying to score political points, which is why he acceded to such a shitty treaty. The Taliban ate Trump's lunch when negotiating the deal. Think about it. Trump gave up a lot of concessions to the Taliban. He could have just left without committing the US, but he didn't want to do the dirty work.

Probably correct. But a President who didn't show up when his country called is not fit to be in that Office.
That's like four of the last five presidents and 5 of the last 7. Obama was too young to serve in Vietnam and Bush Sr was a decorated veteran. But it's crazy now that I think about it that Reagan sort of, Clinton, W sort of, Biden and Trump dodged the draft in one way or the other although that's probably being unfair to Reagan.

I think the last one who didn't serve in a combat role before Reagan would have been FDR? And he would have served but Wilson thought he was too important as assistant naval director.

Lol at the treaty excuse. Presidents can pull out of treaties. Especially ones with terrorists to save American lives, treasure, and the lives of local friendlies. You are absolutely the most naive idiot on the face of the planet if you believe Brandon had zero discretion as to when the pullout began. What would the penalty have been? What catastrophe would have occurred? Take that weak ass argument back to your theoretical world. When Brandon became potus he, and only he had the authority and power to change the course trump put in motion. His generals gave inaccurate assessments or he refused to listen. His generals botched the entire operation and deserve to be held accountable.

An entire thread of revisionist history and hypocrisy.

Top former US generals say failures of Biden administration in planning drove chaotic fall of Kabul

“The remarks also contrasted with an internal White House review of the administration’s decisions which found that President Joe Biden’s decisions had been “severely constrained” by previous withdrawal agreements negotiated by former President Donald Trump and blamed the military, saying top commanders said they had enough resources to handle the evacuation.”

So Joe investigates himself and then blames trump, even though Joe had authority to delay it, and then blames his generals. Yet zero accountability for the fuckups? The only one Joe doesn’t blame is himself. Imagine that.

Accountability is being restored under Trump??!!!

“I don’t take responsibility at all,” is a direct quote from a sitting president. If you polled 100 people and they didn’t know who said it, at least 90% would guess it was Trump (and would be correct, in case you didn’t know).

On the events of Jan 6, “I had nothing to do with that…”

Trump tore up the Iran Nuclear deal and replaced it with nothing. Since then, the amount of time it would take Iran to produce enough material to make a nuclear bomb went from at least a year to a few weeks, tops. Who does Trump blame for that? Biden, of course.

Hey dork: If you're gonna insist on calling him Brandon, then I'm bringin' back Dotard. Savvy?

Fewer American soldiers died in Afghanistan during Biden's presidency than under the last 18 months of Trump's presidency.

Same bullshit GOPers stoked regarding BENGHAZI !!!!!!!!!!!
