My crazy racist MAGA uncle kept himself under control during Thanksgiving. He did let it slip out that he hates EV's because "there's no way we have enough electricity to make them all work" but that's as "political" as he got. I'm legit proud of him.

You mean like shaving your head for the Holiday or wearing blue bracelets?…..not to mention the pink pussy hats.

My FIL came over for dinner yesterday.

He's a special case. He's a nice guy, but he has never had a backbone.

He basically believes what anyone tells him and he gives far too much credit to those who go to church, even though several church members have fucked him out of money over the years.

We were talking yesterday and he, for some reason, stated "Trumps going to fix it". The whole family stopped and looked at him. My wife told him that we don't believe that and we don't talk about that man in our house. He got the message pretty quickly and stopped.

He's a very low information voter. I guarantee if we talked about issues he would have no clue about anything other than someone at church told him that trump would fix it.
Big props to your wife. That’s awesome.

Always found it "interesting" that Magats always defend their mainstream by comparing them to the most liberal extremists.
Not to mention that I don't recall reading stories of liberals wearing vagina hats or other accessories to holiday dinners with Trump relatives, which was the point of the thread. And I have been repeatedly struck over the past eight-plus years of all the evidence that there is a clear cultish aspect to Trumpism. A couple of my neighbors who live some ways down our street not only had Trump flags and yard signs of all kinds in place for the 2020 election, but they kept most of it up for the next four years, until this year, including "2020 was stolen!" flags and signs. They even carefully replaced signs and flags occasionally (to keep them looking new I suppose). And even though it's been nearly a month since the election they still have everything up and continue to replace their yard signs on an almost daily basis (currently it is "HARRIS SUCKS" and "The Outlaw and The Hillbilly"). And I've seen other houses like this around town for the past four years. I've also seen almost no Democratic or liberal signs displayed like this for more than an election campaign, certainly not for four-plus years. It is odd (dare I say weird) behavior, no matter how much Trumpers try to deny it.

My family is going to vote republican regardless of who the candidate is. We nibble around political topics but don't dive head first into them. We're respectful of each other because we know we don't vote the same way. Family is too important to let politics come between us, in my opinion. Then again, they're not the ones doing the Trump jacking dicks dance or flying his flag. That may change things.

Honestly it looked like they were having a bunch of fun living their best life with family. Good for them.
I don't care what they do. But they all surely know exactly how Trump dances, and only a handful of them were actually willing to replicate his double-jerkoff move. Lots of hands moving up and down, or front to back, and few jerking off the horse standing nearby.

Trump cultists don’t have a “best life.” They are scumbags who knowingly voted for a rapist and insurrectionist just to own the libs.

Fuck all those people and their useless children.

You guys are some miserable folks. This looks to be multiple generations laughing and clowning around at a family gathering singing and dancing to a gay anthem with a card board cut out of Trump incidentally in the shot. Good for them.

If your life is so consumed by politics that you can't have fun with friends and family because some of them think differently than you, I feel sorry for you.

So we can assume that you and your family do TikTok dances at all family gatherings?
I just assumed that everyone in that family voted for Trump, because I can't imagine any non-Trump supporters would have voluntarily joined in such a "fun" dance. If everyone there voted for Trump then go for it, I suppose, although it's still a pretty odd ("weird") thing to do. But if - and this was the subject of the thread - there were non-Trump supporting family members there, then no matter how you phrase it then that dance would be a major "eff you" to them. Or to put it another way, if Kamala had won how many families would have done some kind of celebratory dance around a lifesize cardboard cutout of her, and would any Trumper family members have joined in the "fun"? I seriously doubt it.

Even if the entire family agreed, it’s bizarre to allow political affiliation to define the entire family.
