To my knowledge, they only want to eliminate gender affirming care for children. That doesn't seem entirely unreasonable. You could argue that a teenager may not be able to fully understand the ramifications for serious, not easily fixed changes.It’s reasonable to argue that transgender athletes should be barred from competing in sports against opponents who were born of a different sex. There’s certainly middle ground for compromise.
It’s entirely unreasonable to argue that gender affirming healthcare should be made illegal. There is no middle ground for compromise here. Healthcare is a basic human right, and it is nobody’s business but that of the individual patient and their physician. It certainly is not the business of any politicians.
Guess which one the Republicans are hellbent on eliminating?
