Trump’s first choice for Attorney General, everyone.

Of course you could take way all those ethics violations and crimes committed, and he still wouldn’t have been remotely qualified for the job.
 
OK, well there it is. Is the GOP finally prepared to forgive Madison Cawthorne for breaking the Congressional Code of Omerta?

Yeah, let's not lose track of the story here.

1. Matt Gaetz is a pedophile who paid women to engage in statutory rape with them.

2. Despite that having been known for more than a year, Donald Trump wanted Gaetz to be the attorney general of the United States of America, and the VAST majority of Republican legislators were prepared to support that nomination.

3. The Republican-controlled House delayed the release of this report until after Congress had adjourned for the holidays in order to avoid to having to answer questions about it.

4. If we're going to be honest, the Biden DOJ also screwed the pooch by declining to press charges against Gaetz based on the overwhelming evidence of his criminal and unethical activity because they didn't think the victims of Gaetz's crimes would be believed, which is a massive issue in its own right.

One thing about #4: from my reading of the reporting on the story, the issue wasn't that they found the witnesses non-credible, the issue was that Gaetz didn't appear to have definitively committed any federal crimes, as opposed to numerous state crimes (the potential federal crime was Gaetz transporting someone across state lines to sexually traffic them, and Gaetz had been involved in some crossing state lines and being paid to have sex, but the person in question (1) wasn't underage, and (2) appeared to have gone willingly across state lines, rather than being forced).
 
Yeah, Gaetz will be pulling his best Alex Jones on his "news" program. He just needs some high margin bogus supplements to peddle to really bring in the $$$.

Nice try. If you have voted for either party then YOU have enabled it. Theres over 12k leech lobbyists in DC. What has your party done to eliminate them? Cute that you want to blame others, esp those like myself who dont vote. Youve been conditioned and trained to vote for corruption.....congrats on the self righteousness.

Just like you would have supported Biden had he continued to run after colluding with his son (who is guilty of the exact same things) to bring in millions to the Biden Crime Family.

There is no real standard of conduct demanded equally of all the people elected to represent us regardless of party. There are just standards for the opposing party and ignored standards for one's own party.

The problem doesn't just lie with these corrupt politicians. It equally lies with the voters who choose to ignore the transgressions of politicians they support while coming out with pitchforks for the ones they don't.

I guess you could not vote but then you might end up helping not only corrupt politicians but corrupt politicians who happen to have policies that screw up your life as well. I guess we'll all end up with what we are willing to accept. Who knows?
