Buried at the bottom, Gaetz is considering a run for Governor of FLA in 2026.
He’ll win. Because Florida.

+1. I think this election made clear that Florida is now officially a deep red state. Given that they seem to love them some DeSantis and Rick Scott down there, it's likely that Gaetz would indeed be a formidable candidate for governor. Sleeping with underage girls likely won't hurt him at all in that state, at least with the Trumper base. They'll just blame the girls for whatever happened. He’ll win. Because Florida.
Just fucking leak it.House Republicans block the release of Gaetz ethics report.

House Republicans block release of Matt Gaetz ethics report

Why? He's exited stage right. Keep it under wraps and leak it if he re-emerges somewhere. No sense creating an arguably terrible precedent for a guy who's not even part of the game any more.Just fucking leak it.
Article suggests it's happened at least 4 other times. That indicates that it wouldn't be a precedent. I have no strong opinion since reputation is currently meaningless. I don't see anything to really gain by it.Why? He's exited stage right. Keep it under wraps and leak it if he re-emerges somewhere. Because he's accused of horrible things and the public has a right to know what was learned by the investigation. Why? He's exited stage right. Keep it under wraps and leak it if he re-emerges somewhere. No sense creating an arguably terrible precedent for a guy who's not even part of the game any more.
I'm to the point where I starting to favor President Biden issuing a blanket pardon to everyone involved in any sort of investigation of Trump/Republican/Conservative illegalities. The USSC would overturn it because of "reasons," but we are at the point where we need to demonstrate that the United States is no longer a nation of laws, but just another two-bit kelptocracy.House Republicans block the release of Gaetz ethics report.

I'm starting to favor Biden issuing a blanket pardon to any registered Democrat anywhere.I'm to the point where I starting to favor President Biden issuing a blanket pardon to everyone involved in any sort of investigation of Trump/Republican/Conservative illegalities. Of course he was going to end up with a show.
Not sure why, but that little detail (which I crave) about the heartworm medication really rounds out the story...She was also accused of stealing an elderly couple's dog and was sued in court to return it. She claimed that she had "rescued" the dog after Hurricane Katrina, but the couple disputed her claim. The case was settled before trial, and she agreed to return the dog along with heartworm and other medications.
Merged the two threads on this same topic (the Gaetz report getting released eventually).
Thanks. Didn't see the original.Merged the two threads on this same topic (the Gaetz report getting released eventually).
Gaetz' responses are comical. Even for what he admits to (which is just a fraction of the entire story) shows how disgraceful it was to nominate him as AG.
"The Biden/Garland DOJ spent years reviewing allegations that I committed various crimes. I was charged with nothing: FULLY EXONERATED. Not even a campaign finance violation. And the people investigating me hated me. Then, the very “witnesses” DOJ deemed not-credible were assembled by House Ethics to repeat their claims absent any cross-examination or challenge from me or my attorneys. I’ve had no chance to ever confront any accusers. I’ve never been charged. I’ve never been sued. Instead, House Ethics will reportedly post a report online that I have no opportunity to debate or rebut as a former member of the body.
In my single days, I often sent funds to women I dated - even some I never dated but who asked. I dated several of these women for years. I NEVER had sexual contact with someone under 18,” he wrote.
"My 30′s were an era of working very hard - and playing hard too. It’s embarrassing, though not criminal, that I probably partied, womanized, drank and smoked more than I should have earlier in life. I live a different life now,” he wrote."
But at least I didn’t vote for CR’s that fuck over the country!"
