Given our proximity to Mexico, Central and south America, it shouldn't be surprising that most people being deported aren't white. People aren't scrambling to leave Canada.

They are criminals. The difference between Ds and Rs is just a difference in opinion on how/when those criminals should be addressed.
are you aware that there are as many undocumented people from Asia in the US as there are from South America? Proximity is kind of an overstated factor given the global cultural monolith that the US is.

being in the US without proper documentation is a civil offense, not a criminal one. "they" are no more criminals than a citizen who's gotten a speeding ticket.

I think if you include all of Latin America, especially Mexico, instead of just South America, it's not even close. Although a lot of the growth is coming from Asia.

Thought you were the one telling us that most Mexicans were white. I didn't agree with you but you should make up your mind.

You sure don't understand due process, do you? Why do you waste space here? I get a little bit of fun out of you but it always feels a bit like kicking crutches out from under cripples.

REALLY, you're comparing a person trying to better their life by leaving their country to go to the US for opportunities with a drug dealer.
DID Silence hack your account or are you equally deplorable?
I'm saying it's bad policy to reward sneaking into our country. Do you disagree?

Yes, there are different ways to be here illegally. We shouldn't reward illegality because of emotion. That only encourages more illegal behavior.

Surely you can see the potential issues with encouraging people to sneak across the border and then have as many kids as possible to pull on our heart strings to stay here.

What about the people who are here legally on green cards or on asylum claims who are being deported? See: Afghan translators. See also: Afghan Christians being sent home to be executed.

legality is a construct. if your problem is with the legality of the act and not the act itself, then you should be fiercely advocating for fully open borders, so that such movement would not be illegal and your problem would be solved instantaneously.

i personally see no problems even with your ridiculous hypothetical. all that shows me is a new american family whom i would welcome as my neighbors.

We have made it illegal to sneak in/stay here illegally for a variety of reasons. We have CBP and a border wall also for a reason. We have visas of various types for a reason. We don't want, and can't, allow. any/all who desire it, to come/sneak in here without our knowledge, stay as they please and start having kids.

no, they actually aren't criminals. you spout so much BS so confidently.

entering the country illegally is a civil violation, not a criminal one. like i said, they're no more cRiMiNaLs!!!1!! than you are for your daily low level traffic violations.

8 USC Section 1325 makes it a crime to enter or attempt to enter the United States - "improper entry by an alien."

This is a criminal violation (misdemeanor) for the first offense and can be elevated to a felony for subsequent violations like re-entry after deportation. Penalties are fines up to $500 and/or up to six months imprisonment for the first offense and up to two years for subsequent offenses.

Hey Zen, still waiting to hear your opinion about deporting the Afghan translators and Afghan Christians, who are here legally, back to Afghanistan so they can be executed.
