Agreed, you can’t pay the whole state with that brush. 40% of NC voters did support Robinson.A night where the Dems won almost all the key statewide races (including the governor's mansion by like 20 points) is a weird night to conclude that North Carolina is bad and supports GOP candidates who believe in slavery and love the Nazis.
wild stuff for sureI still don't understand all the NC splitting. Broke the super-majority, Stein massively outgained Harris, Jackson beat Dan Bishop by 3%, Hunt beat Hal Weatherman by 2%. Stein v Mark Robinson makes some sense.
Jeff Jackson and Trump got about the same number of votes. Bishop is maga, but so is Trump.
Weatherman is maga, but no more extreme than Trump. He's probably less extreme than Bishop.
Hunt got 2,738,000 votes, Kamala got 2,684,509 a 53,451 difference. Were there really 53k Hunt voters that liked Trump more or chose to leave a blank?
In this era of low-info voters? I consider myself somewhat engaged and had to google Hal Weatherman just to see if he's moderate or maga. The Hunt name alone could’ve been responsible for those 53,451 votes.

Off the top of my head...
1) Trumpism is a cult of personality.
2) Moderate voters who considered inflation and immigration as top issues blamed Biden/Harris, not down ballot candidates.
3) Racism and misogyny toward Harris.
4) Disinformationists focused their efforts on the Presidential race, not state level races.
Yeah, all of the other key state races went well but that one really hurts. It's unlikely we'll be able to break the Pub gerrymander this decade.Riggs losing the state supreme court election is devastating
It's crazy to see the high percentage of votes Robinson got in some of these red counties. Like, not even close. Stay klassy, Stokes County.Might have already been shared but here is the state board of elections website where you can view results by county and precinct within a county. I find it interesting to drill down into different areas....
There was shitload of disinformation aimed at Jeff Jackson by GOP PACs supporting Dan Bishop.Off the top of my head...

Yep. As soon as I saw that Stein was veto-proof by a single vote in one house of the legislature I knew the GOP high command in Raleigh would be plotting how to get one Democrat to switch. Hopefully Tim Moore won't sleep with another Democrat to convince them to change, but I wouldn't put anything past these guys. I certainly hope that NC Democrats have wised up and are keeping their eyes and ears open to any rumors of shenanigans going on.Wonder who the next Democrat will be that will flip to the GOP? You know the GOP leadership is working on it, right?
Tim Moore won’t be in the upcoming GA.then will be heading to Washington as the representative for Mc’s 14th US Congressional District (sort of Jeff Jackson’s current district but totally got redrawn so a democrat couldn’t win it).Yep.
