Well, you guys will have one less Dukie around here after tonight. No reason for me to continue investing so much of myself in this country. Which means I won’t need to discuss politics with you fine folks.
Likewise. I certainly appreciate this forum post-IC, but once this is called out I have to check out. This country is seriously as shitty as I hoped it wasn’t, and posting about it every day won’t help me.

This isn't 2016 to me, I was blindsided then. I know who we are as a country now so this was to be expected, we'll get through the next four years just like we did the first four. It will suck and our country will be worse off but we'll get through it.

That Fed spending was to keep the economy from crashing, due to the PANDEMIC! The pandemic and inflation were both GLOBAL problems.
It was passed in 2022, had more to do with climate than Covid. The Fed choked off inflation with higher rates, which has created more difficulties for the economy.

Well, I’m out for the evening for what I’m sure will be a restless night of sleep.

Love you guys, and enjoyed the discussions the last few months. I’d suggest getting your Super Ignore ready, because this board is about to be swamped.

As the country descends into chaos over the next four years, at least we’ve got this great board to talk our way through all the terrible shit that’s coming our way.

Fuck this country.
Yep, if Trump does win there will be a wave of Trumper trolls here tomorrow and for the next several days. This is what they live for.

You guys have all thrown in the towel too early. So far this is the same thing that happened in 2020.

NY times only has Trump like 70% likely to win Pennsylvania right now and if he doesn’t get Pennsylvania, it’s anybody’s game.

Which makes it even more frustrating for Dems, I'm sure. Does anyone believe that Dem voters, if they had a say, would have picked Kamala to replace Biden?
In a rational world, it shouldn't have mattered. In a rational world, the Democrats could have nominated almost any Democrat, with or without a national profile, and that candidate should have won easily. Sadly, a large percentage of American voters aren't knowledgeable or rational.

Looks like she’s only gonna get Michigan and Maybe Minnesota.

This is all but wrapped up.

What percentage does NYT have Michigan and Wisconsin?

I don't get it. Harris had all the momentum, the energy, the crowds. How the hell could she still lose? This country doesn't make any sense. I don't understand how she got less votes when you would think she would get Biden's votes, you had Pubs saying they would vote for her, and you would think new voters would be in her favor, especially young women. None of this crap makes sense.
She is a black women and groceries and other goods cost a lot more than they did four years ago. This is why she is losing

Gee, we only dabbled in the crazy racist xenophobic anti-science rantings of a psychopathic narcissist back then. We only had a minor coup attempt that saw only a handful of deaths.

Things will definitely turn out better now that we know what we’ve accepted. It’ll be awesome when Trump pardons all the J6ers, dismisses all charges against him, and institutes more right-wing judges across the country.

Yep, we’ll totally be so much better off.

I think he gets a sweep of bg states. He’s performing 2 pts better and she’s 2 pts worse than Biden

Yeah, the demand side of inflation was transient in 2021. The supply side chain and O&G problems are not affected by government or private increased capital

Without the recovery act all 50 state budgets would have gone broke. Yes, inflation was worldwide - energy futures rose worldwide. However, the US and Biden focused on increasing Energy generation, including O&G. It worked.

I am praying, seriously praying that this happens for the good of the people in this country who actually care about others like minorities, women, and the LGBTQ community.
Same, it’s difficult to put aside the results so far as it clearly shows republicans haven’t learned their lesson, but as that guy said, the path to victory is still in play. I will hold out hope until it’s clear that the hope is moot. Fuck you MAGAs (and HY)
