Democrats have worked to find real solutions to problems faced by people only to have those people say “no thanks, I don’t like your answer because it doesn’t fit my social media- built understanding of the problem.” It’s like a doctor saying “you’re due for Covid and flu vaccines” and the patient saying “Nah. I’ll hit Tractor Supply on the way home.”
For the next 4 years, Dems should sit on their hands and just shrug when Trump’s voting bloc reaches the Find Out stage.
100% THIS

When mass deportations hit and then people have no one to build houses or farm, someone needs the balls to say "this is what you wanted America. Tough shit"

Democrats didn’t fail.

The nation, by the system in place, chose what it wanted.

That’s actually how it is supposed to work.

The dems have to provide the other choice and did.
I disagree. This country already made it abundantly clear it didn't want a female president, and the party said "let's run the lady attached to an extremely unpopular administration".

I'm sorry but, if we needed any additional feedback as to how this country feels about electing a woman to POTUS, this should put those ideals to rest.

100% why Trump won. Walk in a grocery store, buy a car, pay a utility and tell me it doesn't hurt. Whether its governments fault or not prices are higher and people vote with heir pocket books
Not sure what you can do.

"I'm Joe Biden and I am going to order these companies to not raise prices."

Sorry Mr President, you don't have the authority also KEEP GOVERNMENT OUT OF BUSINESS

"Ok, here's a a bunch of money to offset inflation."

Hey that's communism! Also that will make inflation worse!

"I know how about we forgive student debt."

HEY I never went to college why don't I get loan forgiveness? Oh and why is my farm subsidy check late?

"Hey Kamala here, I have this idea to help new home owners..."

No one helped me what I got my Fannie Mae loan to buy my first home this is not fair communist government sticking its nose where it doesn't belong!

You can message better for one. Joe hid for 3 years.

Then the country got what it wanted.

Are you saying a women should never be able to run for president?

I would just like to congratulate Donald Trump for once again being elected President of the United States. I'm sure there are other examples, but I personally never seen anyone fight harder for something in my life and through more opposition. This victory has to be of the sweetest kind.
You're a fucking mark.

This ended up being Joe vs Trump.

Harris is over in politics most likely because Joe waited too late and this was all a referendum on him

The country got what it wanted, no doubt about it. And more disappointing is the number of female voters who voted Trump over Kamala. That's what I find the most offensive.

To your second question: No, American's aren't ready to elect a female to POTUS. They didn't elect Hillary. Kamala actually lost ground to what Hillary and Biden secured so I'd say for the near term, Democrats will have to lean into the misogyny of this country and nominate men for the foreseeable future ... if they want to win.

Latinos, AFAM men, even white female voters, aren't ready to elect a woman. It's pretty clear that we have a long way to go on equality with women as the leading voice in America.

I worked for the campaign in NC this cycle. A lot of voters just didn't trust her (again, probably cover for their bias and misogyny). We need to at least be willing to acknowledge that this exists.

I'm not all in on brute forcing this onto America if it means Democrats lose. That's just outright stupid.

We've tried, twice. It isn't going to work. Not yet anyway.

If true, that’s sad and means America sucks.

I think people would be shocked at the number of women I've met while campaigning, both rural and urban, that don't trust women to lead as POTUS.

I've heard too hormonal, too emotional, doesn't have the experience, hasn't put the time in, didn't fight for my rights, etc. It's all cover to say that women just aren't as good as their male counterparts.

It's complete nonsense, but you can't force America to vote one way when they're telling you clearly that women aren't a winning ticket. And Democrats will be habitual losers if they think running it back is going to work.

And the sad thing is, he's going to be walking into yet another strong economy that his Democratic predecessor laid at his feet. And he'll brag about all the positive numbers as though he had anything to do with it.

The two women that ran are two of the most unlikable women in American history. No one should be surprised that the candidate left of Bernie Sanders that flipped on almost every issue, to include building a border wall would not earn the trust of the American people. It’s amazing that it was as close as it is.

I always thought that if a woman were elected POTUS, she would have to be in the Margaret Thatcher mold. She would likely come from the Republican side of the aisle. However, I believed the same thing about a black person before Obama. I suppose it shouldn't surprise anyone that a black man was elected before a woman. After all, it took women 50 additional years after the 15th Amendment to even get the vote.
