The two women that ran are two of the most unlikable women in American history. No one should be surprised that the candidate left of Bernie Sanders that flipped on almost every issue, to include building a border wall would not earn the trust of the American people. It’s amazing that it was as close as it is.
Every Democrat that has run in the last 60 years is to the left of any candidate that has ever run before. Yeah, right.

She is objectively to the right of Bernie sanders. Stop falling for misinformation.

I think people would be shocked at the number of women I've met while campaigning, both rural and urban, that don't trust women to lead as POTUS.

I've heard too hormonal, too emotional, doesn't have the experience, hasn't put the time in, didn't fight for my rights, etc. It's all cover to say that women just aren't as good as their male counterparts.

It's complete nonsense, but you can't force America to vote one way when they're telling you clearly that women aren't a winning ticket. And Democrats will be habitual losers if they think running it back is going to work.
I recall through the years talking with several women about their female bosses. Frequently, they would say that they wished their boss was a man.

How pissed do you think Joe Biden is today? He gave up his reelection bid for a blowout in which Kamala got shutout of every single battleground state. 0-7. He must be thinking, "Hell, I could have done that myself."
The results would have been almost identical. Biden probably gains a few men and loses a few women, but otherwise the map and numbers would have been spot on.

You got to wonder if that's because men don't understand them as well and they get away with more of the games the so many women used to have to play.

* Trump wins 59% of white men voters nationwide; Harris wins 39%. Trump's share is down two percentage points from a 2020 exit poll.

More white men voted for Harris than Biden. Hispanic vote increased for Trump in a big way.

The country got what it wanted, no doubt about it. And more disappointing is the number of female voters who voted Trump over Kamala. That's what I find the most offensive.

To your second question: No, American's aren't ready to elect a female to POTUS. They didn't elect Hillary. Kamala actually lost ground to what Hillary and Biden secured so I'd say for the near term, Democrats will have to lean into the misogyny of this country and nominate men for the foreseeable future ... if they want to win.

Latinos, AFAM men, even white female voters, aren't ready to elect a woman. It's pretty clear that we have a long way to go on equality with women as the leading voice in America.

I worked for the campaign in NC this cycle. A lot of voters just didn't trust her (again, probably cover for their bias and misogyny). We need to at least be willing to acknowledge that this exists.

I'm not all in on brute forcing this onto America if it means Democrats lose. That's just outright stupid.

We've tried, twice. It isn't going to work. Not yet anyway.

I think it's this AND we have to get away from identity politics. As a party we support equal rights for ALL individuals but fringe groups do not need to be the center of our party platform. I think Harris tried to steer us away from this but the PUBS are soo good at putting it front and center.

The closest we came to that was the focus on women. I have an issue considering them a fringe group.

And vulnerable communities didn't seem to show up for Democrats anyway. What's the point in platforming them if they don't return the favor?

What’s weird is that the polls clearly picked this up going into the election. We talked about it quite a lot over the last 10 days or so. But it missed the full extent of that shift and almost all of the related smaller, but key, shift in blue islands of red states and red areas of red states.
