All very valid reasons to vote for trump:
Open borders
weak on defense
inflation / cost of daily living
her stated positions on fracking, gun buy-backs, medicare for all, trans men playing female sports (most liberal person to ever run for potus)
gross incompetence and inability to answer basic questions

The fact that you don't see how those issues are vote worthy really means you don't have a clue or understand macro issues at all and are strictly limited to character flaws as your primary reason for your vote. Tell me CF, why did trump increase his support among blacks, latino, and under 30 voters? Seriously, why? Are they racists and bigots? How about the 70% of the country that felt it was on the wrong track? Don't you get tired of going through life always thinking that every person who disagrees with me is a racist or bigot? Are you that simple minded?
Without quibbling over whether some of these are real concerns or basically made up, you are conflating "valid things to be upset about" with "valid reasons to vote for Trump." I fully comprehend that a large number of voters, perhaps even a majority, are going to attribute whatever problems they think exist to the current administration and then just vote for whoever the other candidate is, but that doesn't make it any less dumb. You can be mad about inflation and grocery prices, but thinking that (1) the Biden admin did anything to cause it or (2) that President Tariff McTaxCuts is going to do anything to help the situation is idiotic. You can be mad about our immigration system, but failing to realize that the situation has been building for decades and that Trump did absolutely nothing to fix it when he was president before is idiotic.

I fear your sense of security is not well founded.
May not be - but I am glad at least the feds passed the freedom of marriage act. Thankfully we already have a family, and are in the midlife part. For my son? Yeah I actually hope he plans to move out of the country as he gets older. He deserves to live in a happier, welcoming country.

That you cannot comprehend that the economy doesn't feel as great to many folks as it actually is leaves me confused. (It must be that, and not that you are willfully ignoring it.)
Everyone, probably even super, understands that the economy doesn't feel great to many folks. I have yet to have a single person tell me, though, wtf they think Dems were supposed to do about that (or why they think Trump will fix it). "The economy is great" is a true statement even if it's true that the benefits of a great economy are not equally distributed. But take one wild fucking guess about which party has any desire to distribute the benefits of a great economy more equally, and then look and see if that's who people just voted for.

But I do think they care about gays and gay marriage, and I think they'll use attacks on transgenders as a wedge to attack the entire LGBTQ community. It's already happened in Florida, where banning discussions of transgenders in elementary schools very quickly morphed into banning discussions on LGBTQ topics at all, right up through high school.
Yeah I think it is foolish to think they will stop. Historical strongmen need to keep feeding scapegoats to the base in order to deflect the masses from the cause of the miseries.

Every minority, be it ethnic or gender or sexuality, should be wary.

This definitely resonated with black men. Dems have really boxed themselves in on weird issues like this. Not once to my knowledge did Harris come out and say “that was misconstrued, hell no we won’t be wasting your tax dollars performing gender surgeries on trans prisoners”
Yep, and I don't understand how they got sideways on the trans men playing women's sports. They are supposed to be the party of women. I'm guessing they just really don't care about protecting women. Getting the trans vote is just more important. That helped republicans this year.

This post is certainly dumb and filled with revisionist history. Trump wasn't the president in 21-22. Trump provided a vaccine in record time which brandon had use of. The economy was wrecked in part by dem governors who believed that shutting everything down was the only answer.
The fact that you're still calling him "brandon" tells everyone here what a childish twit you are, and that surely you don't want to be taken seriously. Just trying to help. (y)

As for me, the stress is over. For the next four years, my plan is to just sit back, relax and let MAGA attempt to solve all of our problems. They have all the power now. No excuses. Whatever happens from here on out rests solely on their shoulders. No pressure, Pubs! Godspeed.

The you, and he, should know that responded with "the economy is great" to someone who's struggling to make ends meet is like slapping them in the face and telling them to stop complaining. It's a bold strategy, too bold for me.

And yes, Trump and the magats have no desire to fix it, which makes someone voting for them, as a shot in the dark because they are drowning, all the more sad.

All of those "very valid" reasons are based on complete fantasy. You're going to find out the hard way that we were right. Enjoy your trade war mother fucker. When Americans can't export shit and our economy gets supply-chain bottled like 2021 but worse, it will be your fault. Of course you will just lash out at other people like you always do.

When Kansas elected Sam Brownback as governor, who said he was going to put GOP economic principles into effect and did, do you know what happened? Kansas' economy and public finances tanked. FAFO
And, Kansas still votes GOP today.

One thing is certain. MAGA is fucking OBSESSED with trans people. Fucking obsessed.
Seriously. It’s funny how democrats not wanting to join in on piling on this extremely small sliver of the population that Dems don’t talk about nearly as much as Republicans (and during Harris’s campaign, really not at all), has pubs flipping out about trans people and projecting their obsession on democrats.

We’re 1-2 years…..maybe 4-5 years from the “shit hitting the fan finding out” stage.
idk, putting RFK in a cabinet level Health position may have pretty immediate consequences

Edit- ehh it may take 1-2 years for the herd immunity to fall below a level where we truly have outbreaks

I think it's more likely that white liberals are just so arrogant that there's a misunderstanding about this whole concept of those people's self-interest.

White liberals always think they know what is in the self-interest of minority groups, and it always seems to be that voting for the Democratic party is the answer.

People in those minority groups are starting to have their own ideas of what's best for their self-interest.
Sure. One of the items on the Project 2025 to do list is to make stop and frisk the standard practice nationally. Who do you think that will affect at a high rate 🤔 Or are you going to go with “that won’t happen”?

Once we get past this and can reflect honestly, how much of this disaster is not an embrace of the Reprobate's policies, but an outright rejection by centrist Dems of the Democratic platform?

And it was a Trump admin policy It really pisses me off the Dems waiting until Early Nov to try and point that out
Not really a trump admin policy. Been in place since 76. If trump would have denied it he likely would have been overturned in court. Any changes would have required a legal battle. She actually fought for it in the CA state system and in 2019 while running for potus gave somewhat detailed support for it. The fact she would deflect when asked about it this time rather than stand on her supposed principles, imo, turned off some voters.
