I agree with all you say. A key question I have is whether if Europe stands with Ukraine, then does that, by necessity, mean that Europe must stand against the United States. A united Europe would be a formidable force. But a united Europe has no chance against a united Russia and US. As long as St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago is in office, the United States in nothing more than Putin's hand puppet.I have little doubt that the plan the US presented was written by US officials.
I also have little doubt that it is essentially a Russian plan and starting point for negotiations.
Trump is Putin's lapdog and I have very little doubt that his administration cribbed heavily from Russian sources to create the "US plan".
My only hope is that Europe will stand strongly enough with Ukraine that Ukraine isn't forced to largely accept it.

And British ships have the right to escort them through. Nothing in the link suggests they were diverted or otherwise interfered with. There must be more to this story. Russian ships, including military vessels, have the right to transit through the English channel.
Yes but I don't get this quote or the need for an article at all for routine traffic. Unless slow news day.And British ships have the right to escort them through. Nothing in the link suggests they were diverted or otherwise interfered with.
I don't think that Trump is an actual leader in any real sense of the term, which helps us in this case.I agree with all you say. According to Wiki, the Yantar is a spy ship and controls mini subs that can sever cables. A close escort seems more than fair.Yes but I don't get this quote or the need for an article at all for routine traffic. Unless slow news day.
"Defence Secretary John Healey branded the Yantar's move "deeply dangerous" and warned Russia and its president Vladimir Putin: "We see you. We know what you're doing. We are ready.""
