When your hat in hand its probably not a good idea to insult the one your begging.
Trump isn't going to give him anything anyways. There's no sense trying to suck up to Putin's puppet.

If I were Zelensky, I'd call Trump's bluff. Since Trump has proven that facts don't matter, as Zelensky I'd call a press conference immediately and say something along the lines of, "I am very gracious of President Trump's offer to send American soldiers to Ukraine to act as peacekeeping forces. He even gave me his personal assurances that these troops would not hesitate to engage the Russians in combat."

Sorry to disappoint, but I’ve never cast a vote for trump. Most reasonable people wouldn’t insult someone you relied on for help. You may not like it, but you eat it for the greater good. Do you think it’s a good strategy?
Zelensky has never relief on Trump for help. Zelensky has relied on the United States and Europe for help. The United States as we know it no longer exists. He has no reason to try and appease Putin's agent in Washington.

My apologies. I forgot you are jorts. I confuse your new username with a Trumper who posts here. I will delete.

So, Putin has flat-out brainwashed Trump. Cool.
Question: if Trump has been flat-out brainwashed by Putin, how can you support anything he does? In other words, isn't it obvious that he's a weak stupid easily manipulated old man? That's not "his foreign policy isn't good." That's "keep this man away from everything" and "don't trust anything he says because at best it's dementia."

Like, if you believe that Putin brainwashed Trump, then isn't it attendant of you to be part of the resistance, not a bosiding message board antagonist?

If Trump is Putin’s puppet, then why has sec Bessent presented the deal he has? It puts the US in partnership with Ukraine and right on Russia’s doorstep. Good faith question. I honestly haven’t been keeping up with the minutiae of the Trump admin’s movements.

Wait, he ditched the jorts user name and then came up with . . . purple nurple?

Aren't there consultants who can help with this sort of thing?

Zelenskyy has been engaging with Trump for years. He's ignored the bullshit. He's pretended as if Trump is a responsible leader. He's sanewashed Trump. He has been dutifully respectful all this time and look at where it's gotten him.

He is more than justified in doing this, and it can't go worse than the flatter Trump strategy. Why shouldn't he finally speak his mind?

Bessent's plan included Ukraine signing 50% of its mineral rights over to the US, after which the US might put soldiers on the ground in Ukraine to protect our rare earth minerals. Zelensky politely declined to sign the draft. Since Zelinsky didn't go for Trump's extortion, Trump is now shitting on him.

Why is the Treasury Secretary involved in direct foreign policy negotiations? Why is the Sec of Defense taking Ukraine bargaining chips off the table before negotiations even begin? Why is the Vice President publicly scolding our NATO allies over Ukraine? Now Rubio is in Saudi Arabia negotiating with the Russians while other members of the Administration undercut him.

I think the truth is no one speaks for Trump. Trump outlined his plan yesterday when he said Ukraine started the war. Bessent, Hegseth, Rubio, Vance, et al are insignificant players. The only thing that matters is Trump.

It's nice to have a king, isn't it?

It’s the second time Zelensky didn’t agree to Trump’s extortion.

Every president has had flaws and has done things I don't agree with. The fact that a president may be flawed in one area doesn't mean everything he does is wrong. Trump, going back to 2016, has always been infatuated with, if not jealous of, dictators. He's also always been susceptible to flattery, yet the Biden admin carried over some of Trump's tariffs on China.

In case posters don’t know who Rob Crilly is - he’s the US political correspondent for the Daily Mail - a right-wing British tabloid. Before that he was the White House correspondent for the Washington Examiner - a right-wing American paper. Prior to that he wrote for the Daily Telegraph - a conservative-to-right-wing British paper.

A Rob Crilly piece or interview is as credible and objective as anything by Sean Hannity or Tucker Carlson or Mark Levin or Laura Ingraham.

The Rapid Rehab of Vladimir Putin

The Russian marauder has become an ostensible peace-maker in a month.

"...The Kremlin overlord in 2022 started the biggest land war in Europe since Hitler, and his “special military operation” has killed or maimed hundreds of thousands of Russians and Ukrainians. His missiles have targeted apartment houses and train stations. His forces have tried to freeze Ukrainian civilians into surrender by crippling electric-power plants.

His troops have kidnapped hundreds of Ukrainian-born children from their parents to new homes in Russia. They have tortured and executed Ukrainian troops in violation of every rule of international warfare.

Russian hit squads have also been dispatched to assassinate enemies of his rule at home and abroad. This includes killing Alexander Litvinenko with polonium in London and an attempted murder of a former spy in Salisbury, U.K., with Novichok nerve gas that killed an innocent bystander. The British government has said it believes Mr. Putin ordered the Novichok attack.

No one should forget the death of Alexei Navalny, the brave opposition politician who was poisoned abroad, then arrested upon his return and killed in prison. Numerous Russians are taken by a sudden and mysterious desire to leap from tall buildings to their deaths.

Mr. Putin has been charged with war crimes by an international court, and the U.S. sanctioned his foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, in 2022 as one of the “architects of Russia’s war against Ukraine.” Mr. Lavrov sat across the table from Mr. Rubio on Tuesday and denied that Russia targets Ukrainian power plants despite mountains of evidence.

We realize that the ruthless men who rule much of the world can’t be ignored. But usually those men aren’t rewarded with a visit to the U.S., as Mr. Trump hinted last week, before they’ve made any compromises. Visits with Soviet leaders during the Cold War at least had some preparation to assume the U.S. would get something from the diplomacy. Any peace Mr. Putin strikes has to be made with all of his legacy of destruction in mind.

Zelensky should have simply pointed out that the proper way to be compensated for the aid would be to take it from Putin's frozen bank accounts. Asking the victim to pay for the rapist's damage just promotes more rape. Oh wait.........
