I wonder if Shane Gillis gave any thought to his monologue prior to stepping on stage. That was rough.
Apparently it was old material that he decided to reuse for this appearance. I agree it was rough. It's like he realized a couple of jokes in that the audience didn't really care for it and got a bit embarrassed about it so he tried to play it off. But it was painful.

I did appreciate his Shelby Foote impression, but that was a kinda obscure thing to throw into a monologue in 2025.

Definitely odd to spend that much time talking about a PBS documentary made 35 years ago.

And he led off saying he’s bummed out that we’ll never see Trump again. I can understand someone being entertained by Trump’s debates, but is it really going to be that much of an adjustment? Over the past 8 years, Trump has participated in a grand total of two debates,

He actually did better in the sketches than he did with the stand-up opening.

Yeah, he bombed pretty hard. That was pretty cringey.

Shane’s normally a pretty funny stand-up, but his humor probably isn’t the type that your typical SNL crowd might appreciate.

His brand of comedy appeals to the Bro Rogan manosphere incel crowd, which is funny because Shane is actually fairly liberal.

Bill Maher has been vocal about his frustrations with the Democratic party for a long time. Given the results of the last election (specifically among black and Latino voters), along with recent polling, it seems likely that he has a point.

It matters not AT ALL what democrats think, you will still be the rube posting pictures of his cocker spanial, always.

Blaming others for your own stupidity is a bit weak for you though. I would rather see you post a link about liberal middle school teachers causing redlining and systemic discrimination.

Maher needs low-functioning bosiders to grift appropriately. Hope this provides clarification.

Nobody knows how to talk to the working class better than Bill Maher. That documentary he made, mocking their religions and putting them on screen to look like fools -- what a communicator!
One of Mahers finest works. I saw it in the theatre. Too bad he has regressed to grifting

Did you watch the video? A point he made is a racist, sexist country does not elect a black man president twice and give a woman 3:million more votes. The left has embraced a wokeness that is rejected by much of the country, including POC.
Nope, that's just what your right wing overlords told you, and you wanted so badly to believe it, so here we are.

People know what woke is. They see it in their daily lives: on TV, at work, in school, in advertisements and in sports. It impacted the election and if you don’t understand or recognize it GREAT, keep doing what you’re doing only MORE.
How does seeing gay people on TV and at work turn you into a literal shit stain? Acknowledging someone's existence must be horrific for you. Please provide details, please and thank you! 🙌

I really hope they do not. It wins republicans elections because when its talked about, there is no common sense applied to it and it continues to help define the left as dei obsessed and that has proven to be a loser for the left.
It is truly, l mean ridiculously fucking hysterical, beyond hilarious that you think you have common sense. Buy another elon bobblehead, and tell all the people how you be so smart

I appreciate the entertainment.

Don’t conflate woke with being gay. One has nothing to do with the other. MAGA is not anti gay no matter how bad you want it to be so.

Yes, it unequivocally is. Vote to send your children's friends to conversion camp. We all know you want to.

Not one single thing you believe about woke hasn't come from right wing media.

You couldn't describe why you hate woke if your family's life depended on it.

To further elaborate, you seem to be under the very ludicrous impression that white dudes (I'm white) have experienced more recent discrimination than black and lgbtq folks in our 400 year history.

Like I have implored to you recently. Go to your nearest large town. Meet a minority or gay person. Not the 1 weird Republican gay organizer that you know who also happens to hate himself. I feel for him. Someone stumping for their own eradication is interesting to say the least.

Buy that person a drink. Ask them questions. Try to forget your extensive indoctrination. Be charming unlike your usual self. This will help you tremendously to not be such a stupid rube.

You're welcome!

I like some of his material. It was disappointing. It's like he auditioned to show why SNL fired him. I truly appreciate intellectual and critically thinking bosiders. There are so few...
